If Sergio beats Cotto, which I think he will. Then I can't see HBO letting him go to Showtime to fight Canelo. I believe Sergio has two more fights with HBO. HBO can't run the risk of Sergio getting beat by Canelo and the lineal Middleweight title being held hostage over at showtime.

I can see HBO throwing money at Sergio and trying to force him to fight GGG after Cotto. This way HBO will have the lineal title in house with the biggest draw at middleweight with GGG.

I dont understand why Golovkin has to be so active

Why not just fight 2/3 times a year fighting big names, did they even try and get someone better I heard he was gonna fight Andy Lee before the Adama fight even happened

Yeah they tried Geale. They also offered the Monaco date to Geale, Murray, Lee and NJikam, no takers. Not sure why he'd be ducked less if he fought less frequently

I wish every fighter fought 3-4 times a year. As a fan, what's better than that

    whos golvokin supposedto fight then?

sturm, quillen and sergio dont want it so its not his fault hes limited to what presents itself.

agree that lees going for his last paycheck here and will get demolished.

if he coulndt hurt or get kept from getting hurt against chavez hell have no answers for gennady and will see another +600 get knocked out.

since lees been kod twice i suppose he wont even last four rounds...probably wont even train to win.

Yeah Geale woulda been ok, but why not just move the date back to find someone better

To get highlight reel ko's lol
If he was on a legit mission he should fight Ward

-MSG Theater was booked for Saturdays outside of the 26th

-He's on a mission to clean up 160, just like Ward has cleaned up 168 -- then they can fight

    He might be even better.

But you don't get credit for not accumulating relevant accomplishments.

In boxing, you are only as good as the sum of your opponents and the results that came from them.

Ward fought all the top people at 168, Golovkin is fighting people that are barely in the top 10, he really isnt cleaning the division up at all

Tell Ward to come to 160.

Takes 2 to tango. I don't see any of the top MW's fighting him either.

Why are people bringing up Ward all the time? Golovkin's team (smartly) said they are focused on 160 at the moment, when GGG moves up to 168 then you can talk about Ward.

    :deal

I guess its just mainly desperate US fans - they have no-one else thats a top pfp fighter to challenge GGG. Although having said that Jacobs is good.

Didnt he have Lee ready before the Adama fight, they are picking these opponents to boost his marketability

And Golovkin said he would fight anyone from 154-168 but stays at 160, so why would Ward go down
