Yes and if the TS's supposition was correct Golovkin would have taken the Dec 10 date against someone other than Jacobs. GGG missed out on a payday and is still trying to make the Jacobs fight which shows who's camp is serious and who's is wasting everyone's time.

Lmao, Golovkin held it for longer than Jacobs has. Guess he's a fraud too.

This makes absolutely no sense. You realize Jacobs holds the baby version of 3G's belt, right?

He means that GGG earned the exact same title when Felix Sturm ducked him repeatedly until finally Geale bested Sturm then decided to duck GGG as well, forcing the WBAs hand in stripping Geale and elevating GGG.
Case cant be made for Jacobs though as GGGs team has been reaching out to Jacobs since before he even won that version of his WBA title.

If Danny has supreme confidence in his abilities and truly believes he can beat Gennady, he should accept the 25% purse being mandated by the WBA, beat Golovkin, and get the lion's share in a rematch.

There have been many great fighter's in the past that had to take less in the short term to allow their career to blossom down the road. I personally don't give Jacobs more than a 20% chance in this fight, but if he thinks he can beat GGG, he should accept the terms and go all out in this one.

Guys it's okay, according to people on this board GGG is allowed to offer fighters a **** deal, but if they do it then we need to burn them at the stake

I think what he may be pointing at is all the talk of GGGs defense record when really all but 6/7 of them were in defense of the same JV WBA Title Jacobs currently has while.

I think this situation is a mixed bag really Jacobs imo isn't a real Champ, and no matter how GGG won em the opportunity to fight for the Undisputed Title is someyhing you can't pass up.
On the other hand as a guy in the back nine with no real win of importance, you gotta do something to make a good fight whatever it may be.
Can't really call it and am uninterested in they're money, will see what happens at the bid not really big on Jacobs to chinny but it's the best fight that division has to offer so hopefullu it happens.

Geale beat Sturm for the super title, had to fight GGG before Dec 31 2012. But Geale vacated to fight Mundne with his IBF title. So it's longer than that.

I co-sign this. GGG's title defences should be counted from his first fight after he remained as the only WBA titlist in the division, same goes for Thurman and Lara after Floyd's retirement.

You need to read what I said within its context.

The guy I quoted was saying that Jacobs is a "fraud" because he holds the WBA regular belt and has done for a few years, and so, in his words, even though Jacobs "deserves way more than just a 25% cut", it's karma that he gets shafted on this deal. I was pointing out that GGG also held that belt for a few years so it's a pretty bizarre thing to say.

Obviously I think it's very stupid to call anyone a fraud merely for holding one of the secondary belts for a couple years.

Gennady is The Undisputed Undefeated Middleweight Champion of the World !!! He is THE MAN @160
If & its a big IF Danny Jacobs thinks he can beat Gennady accept the 25% If he beats Gennady the world is his oyster, Then he can demand the big $$$$$$$$$ paydays.
All any 160 pound fighter has to do is legitimately challenge Gennady mot talk trash then run for cover a la Pollo ROFL That was the funniest thing I have seen in boxing since Tony Margarito made Mayweather soil his pants for all to witness on U Tube ROFLMAO. No way either could deny their cowardice

Absolutely. It physically pains me when people state that he has defended his belt 15+ times.
Same with Mares now being a 4 time champion.

Well if that's the case Jacobs has no choice but to take the deal. It's a win/win for him.

Because you are obviously trashing it. So do GGG'S regular and interim title defenses go towards his actual defenses since only the "super" title means something to you guys all of a sudden? Is he really on the verge of breaking B-hops record of 20 title defenses? Or is it safe to say since the "regular" title doesnt mean much to you guys, that GGG IS in fact at 7 title defenses?
