Ah, the hypocrisy issue? Yeah, there's plenty of that goes around ... there's also plenty of GGG fans who use words 'duck' and 'coward' much too easily. I never really understood the hate Floyd got and I don't get the hate GGG gets either, though I believe the two things to be related.. But this is an odd example to pick on as most seem to think that the Jacobs fight is a step in the right direction for Golovkin. I dunno man... if you start hoping fights ain't gonna happen just so you can thumb your nose at some irritating fanboys you probably are in too deep.. :D

Oh yeah. Who is 'you guys'?

Thankfully, for ANY fans not trolling or spamming, Tom Loeffler, or maybe his secretary and Sasha Krashyuch are kind enough to return emails to even non-credentialed media like myself.
Ive never lied and said I was media, and have promised never to reveal my sources or exact details or quotes.
In return, I get the occasional response from the desk of Mr Loeffler and Mr Krachyuk.

That's cool.Your posts are sensible, your figures make sense and are in line with what the more respectable parts of the boxing media say, so I see no reason to doubt this. Those numbers emphasize why Golovkin is in top 5 p4p Ring, ESPN, etc., despite having a (very) poor resume comparatively.

Do you have any inside information to the latest Canelo-GGG negotiations?

Not anything already reported on this latest offer.

BUT.......GGG and K2 WERE and ARE ready to fight at 156 for 17% if GBP takes the lead in the promotions and carries the undercard and allows 2 K2 fighters onto it.
Crashyuk(how it's pronounced) wants Max Bursak on the card vs Lemiuex or another nonK2 MW, LMW or SMW.

They also wanted to feature Mike Perez on the undercard as well as bringing Cecelia Braekhaus to the US for a big womens bout.
GBP didnt have issue with those asks, but never came off the 10% offer until they added 10 mil with 10% PPV upside.

That was over a yr ago it seems that GBP was lowballing at 10%.

And I don't know the EXACT details of the 10 mil offer.
As best I KNEW it was a FLAT purse.

GGG won't take less than 17% total. So if their offer aint adding up to that percentage overall, aint getting made.

I've pointed the same thing out re Sturm and how Golovkin has been ducked from early on,even the commentators pointed it out at the time about Sturm saying he'll swerve GGG and claim it's cause GGG isn't a big enough name lol

Not gonna ask your old username, but I had to dig deep and get emails from credible sources to know specifics.

Thanks. $10 million + 10% PPV is surely not less than 17%, the breakpoint is when the fight is worth $140-odd million. I don't think it could be more than that. So the financial deal must be very close to agreed?

17% at 156 lb last year was definitely a concession from Golovkin, it's less than a mandatory's 25% and gives Canelo close to his preferred weight as well. I don't want to hear about how Golovkin does not make concessions unless that is disproved.

I agree completely. I was more or less playing devil's advocate. I know not all of 3G's defenses were defenses of a "full title".

I really don't mind him too much. He has an entertainment value. But yeah, even if someone I don't like is right, I'll give them props. Geez.... this mess really makes title defenses rather convoluted, with all the damn belts per division. I miss the good ol days of only 2-3 belts. LOL

I reckon it's gonna be a huge fight,on news 24 you'll just get a few comments on the articles until there's an article about GGG or Canelo where the comments section goes crazy with like 50 comments in an hour or so,I've stopped posting on there myself as the place has become a home for racists of the worst kind?

I can't imagine Golovkin boiling down any more than he did against Brook,I guess he usually weighs in at 169 or something so it's another three pounds,I think it would go a long way to evening the fight up with Canelo,at 160'its hard to imagine anyone beating Golovkin but at 156 it's gonna favour Canelo big time?

156 lb was for last year, after Canelo dropped the belt. From what I heard it may have even been a non-title fight, GGG's team said they could compromise on weight in that case. I believe Canelo is moving up to 160 and the fight will be at full MW next year.
