GGG is overrated as ****, but I don't get why you are bringing up a GGG fight from 3 years ago....By your logic Canelo sucking horribly against Alfonso Gomez means something nowadays....Since that fight was 3 years ago...

Both Cotto AND Canelo beat GGG....They would both end that frauds ruin as hypejob of the year...

Yawn....Remind me again when Kovalev and GGG choose to stop fighting Taxi Drivers and actually fight someone relevant...KO'ing bums does not impress me all that much...

They are the Russian versions of Deontay Wilder..

"Little Bro" as overrated as he is still has a better resume than Kovalev and GGG combined...

Boxing fans will always be hyperbolic, not really sure why you are this shocked. Then again, I don't know if it's fair to judge GGG by his worst performance when he performed pretty well lately. People improve, it's just natural.

Golovkin is probably right in his prime at the moment, so he better get the good fights going. The Geale fight is a decent start but I'm genuinely afraid Golovkin gets too old before he fights the big fish at, say, 168. He's really not young at all for how little he achieved so far in his pro career given how good his talent is.

What stories are there that GGG embarrassed Canelo?

The only article I read made it sound competitive, both guys had a good spar.

GGG has apparently embarrassed Chavez, Angulo and Quillin but never heard he got the better of Canelo.

Beterbiev is a Chechen Muslim....I'm not sure the stupid hype train behind GGG and Kovalev will want to root for him....He's not the right "type" of fighter....Cough Cough Cough....

GGG is from Kazakhstan, a country with Muslims representing 70% of people, so what?

    This ^.

    http://ringtv.craveonline.com/news/...z-golovkin-worth-driving-up-a-mountain-to-see

By all accounts Sanchez frowns upon sparring getting too heavy duty at the Summit. Seems like GGG and Nelo just gave each other a good workout.

With Perro it sounds like he tried to be the big dog and was quickly put in his place by GGG after which they had some good sessions.

Quillin and JCC jr sparred Golovkin at the Wildcard I think. There's no footage of GGG vs Quillin but with Jr, whilst GGG hardly put a beating on him it was clear from the video that Golovkin was by far the superior boxer (remembering this was late 2010 when Jr was still relatively young and green - both Jr and Nelo have matured and gained much competetive experience since sparring Golovkin).

Either way, sparring is sparring - the guys are in there to train and hone technique, not to take each other out.

Exactly No point in Canelo and GGG beating each other up, when it is just sparring, the way they approached it sounds best both got the rounds in and likely benefited from the spar in terms of preparation for their fights.

This is actually spot on. A lot of casuals visit this board because it's one of the first that come up on a google search and easy to access without a log in, everyday El Chicano has a GGG thread on the front page. I'm starting to think El Chicano is GGG  great bit of promoting anyway keep up the good work :good
