I'm backing Froch to just grind it out on points but I fully expect Groves to give him all he can handle early doors and carl will know hes been in a fight. George has turned into a real man interms of his strength in the last year and looks to be hitting with real power. I like the way he's started roughing guys up on th inside recently and is clearly starting to learn all the tricks of the trade. Booth will give him a solid strategy to work from which could leave Carl looking slow and untidy early doors before finally catching up with his man.
This will be like the Bute fight all over again. Froch will walk through Groves, dominate him and knock him out. Much too early for Groves.
Im not saying carls chin is not what it once was or whatever but towards the end of kessler/froch 2 he hurt froch. And george keeps getting more and more powerful and his shots are so accurate.
Groves just tweeted he's on sky sports tomorrow talking about his next fight. He says "you all know who it is" It's on!
Martin Ward has also tweeted he's back on 05th October at the O2 Arena for a packed Matchroom show. Could this be too soon?
cant wait to see this fight, two domestic showdowns im looking forward to seeing now dont think either will go the distance to be honest but exciting times for British boxing! All i can say is Adam Booth is going to be very busy over the next couple of months its a critical time for his career remins me of the summer of 2011, id love to see haye and groves win! but i think he will only get one out of the two im afraid.
Im one of the few that thinks Groves dismantles Froch in 8. Ive never been that overally impressed with Froch, sure hes had some good wins but hes pretty one dimensional imo. Groves to land some real bombs on a stationery Froch and eventually take him out. You heard it here first :deal
Cant look past Froch in this, 12 months down the line it would be a much closer fight as Froch would be on the waine and Groves would have a bit more experience behind him. I would guess at a Froch stoppage in rounds 8-10
