Agreed then. The question I responded to asked what to do with the remaining yolks though ;)

That's a myth. Some people do great on IF diets where they will eat 2 meals or so each day and taking in 250-300 grams of protein all together. I used every other day fasting for a while for bodybuilding and had great results.

I'm aware of this, it was a rhetorical question. I was being facetious.

I agree on the whole egg white/yolk &cholesterol myth part. However, eating 20 eggs can be harmful to your body due to kidney strain. I have developed kidney stones at age 35 or so already , very likely due to high protein intake. (my sodium , uric acid and oxalate through food sources weren't bad at all and i do mind my water intake). Just a warning. Seriously high protein diets can cause kidney problems.

20 eggs has around 120-140grams of protein, those will hardly break the bank, but if you are having equally large amounts at a low-ish bodyweight then I can see how that happened.
    What else were you eating?

Basically all kinda of veggies: paksoy kangkong, spinach, carrots, tomatoes, string beans, onions, garlic, ginger, red pepper, green pepper , chili peppers, all kinds of fresh herbs, coriander parsley basil loads more, spices all kinds, try to avoid too much legumes nowadays, don't drink alcohol anymore, lotsa eggs and fish (mostly seafish, preferably fatty), sometimes red meat or even pork. Fruit, mangoes, grapefruit, mandarine oranges bananas watermelon berries and more, nuts too moderately, and i am not at a low weight with my 6"2 and my weight of 210 ish lbs. (used to be heavier but worked it off and made muscle by swimming and weights and badminton.) And nowadays i drink at least 3-4 liters of water. Maybe I'm just unlucky with my kidneys. >.< Also drink loads of green tea and some dairy.

Edit: Totally forgot my main carb sources besides fruit: potatoes, yams ,brown rice and pasta.

The research I have seen on this subject suggests that if your kidneys are already functioning badly, a protein rich diet can be damaging. In healthy individuals it made no difference.

Did a quick search but can't find the study anymore. I did find this one, and it suggests the same thing.

"An eleven-year study of 1624 nurses indicated that high protein intake had no effect on kidney function for women with normal kidneys, but that high protein (particularly meat) accelerated decline in kidney function in women with mild kidney impairment."

I'm not advocating a protein rich diet btw, I think it serves no function at all for a boxer. You'll just use the protein for energy or store it as fat after a certain point, and there's no benefit in that. In fact you would have been better off with carbohydrates from a natural source because they come with vitamins and protein does not.
