In my opinion, wether p4p no 1 or 2, any boxing fan can look at Mayweather and clearly see he's a better, more complete fighter than Pacquiao is. The p4p list work's negativley in this way because any idiot outside of boxing can look at the list and will automatically think Pacquiao is number one. I'd put Mayweather at the top in my opinion, everybody say's you have to beat the no1 man to become number 1, but Pacquiao never did that (all be it Mayweather retireing), but now he's back (and with a mahoooosiveee bang i may add), surely he take's it back?

once again this is a very flawed stance. I can give you many examples of a fighter losing to a guy that lost to a guy then beatting the guy that the guy he beat lost to. Hopkins>Pavlik>Taylor>Hopkins. Margo>Cotto>Mosley>Margo.

Also keep in mind that Floyd dominated JMM who most felt beat Pac TWICE.

Boxing is about style matchups and truth be told Pac doesnt matchup with Floyd that well. everything that pac has trouble with Floyd is the best in boxing at doing. Manny has trouble with counters who is the best at doing that in boxing today??? Manny has trouble with fighters that are defensive fighters, who is the best at that in boxing today?? Floyd would knock Manny out. Manny might have some good rounds at the start but Floyd would get his timing down and get rid of him in the mid to late rounds.

he might have if that was a good mosley in there but i cant give floyd full credit because he was shot. cotto would have put up a stiffer test then shane.

for name value it was good but for real opposition nope.

u can switch that arguement upside down. floyd had trouble against an agressive fighter like castillo, and pac is far more agressive than castillo. floyd had a problem with southpaws , pac is the best southpaw in the game.

both have the equipment to trouble each other. floyd aint fought no one close to pac in terms of natural talent.

There is nothing to reclaim yet, until PAC gets beating.

PAc is way above his natural weight class fighting at WW and stopping
opponents over there. Floyd need to reclaim his spot by personally beating
PAC or waiting somebody else will to this for him.

Nah, you guys dont even understand what kind of fighter Pac is. Pac isnt nor was he ever an aggressive fighter. He is a jump in fighter. what that is, is manny stands on the outside, jumps in throw a combo and jumps back out. Its pretty much the way that Jones fought in his prime, and no one ever called Jones aggressive. The only reason that floyd had any trouble with Castillo was because of the broken hand, and that was proven in the rematch. floyd dominated the early part of the first fight broke his hand, and then castillo come on, Floyd then dominated the second fight. And if having problems means losing a round or two too some elite fighters then I guess your right Floyd had problems with southpaws even though he dominated everyone that he has ever fought.

It's not really Pac's fault that Clottey shelled up for the entire fight, you know.

I hadn't really thought there was much of an argument for Mayweather taking back the top spot, so this poll really surprises me and the arguments definitely have me thinking about it more.

I could see Floyd getting p4p #1, although the idea of sharing it would be interesting. I don't what would entice more to get Pac to fight--sharing the top spot with Mayweather or losing it to him. I think either would infuriate him, whereas I don't think Mayweather would care at this point. He's a #1 p4p ATG, greater than a 77 foot tall mechanical Joe Frazier in his mind and if the PPV is good enough, it's not like he needs to be considered the #1 fighter to make lucrative fights.

If Floyd returns to 154 or even goes to 160 in his next match up, or fights Pac obviously, I think he'll have done enough for sure, but right now, I'm not really certain. Does anyone know when Ring Magazine (they do p4p right?) is expected to update their rankings again?

Watch the second round. Paul Williams said that Mosley had Void, but stopped punching in the next round for no reason! Pac is #1. Cotto beat Mosley and Pac stopped Cotto! Pac would have stopped the Mosley that fought Void. Pac stopped Hatton in the second round, he stopped Oscar, Hell, Oscar beat Void and so did Castillo.

    Nope not yet.

    7 division champion

Wins over Sasakul, Ledwaba, Barrera 2x, Marquez, Morales 2x, DLH, Hatton, Cotto, and Clottey. His resmue is still the best.

Pacquiao is still the king but Mayweather is right behind him. The more I think about it the more this fight needs to be made.
