it was not team calzaghe that offered pavlik a fight.

it was HBO that approached pavlik about a possible calzaghe fight for the 14th oct 2006.

    the timeline does fit.

hbo wanted a calzaghe v alan green fight
alan green fought poorly v donnie mccary around the end of apr/may time in 2006.
HBO then put alan green out of the picture on the back of that performance.

many opponents were put in the frame afterwards , none that were firm or offers just general enquiries.

pavliks name was put up by HBO, but pavliks mangager declined before any negotiations took place.

not enough money and not in america to much a risk for to little reward is the obvious conclusion.

in hindsight a good choice as kelly is now making money in his own right.

    but the timeline is legit
pavlik or team pavlik more accuratley was in discussion, just nothing came of it, just as 3 or 4 other opponents were in the frame for the october the 14th fight.

not sure where booradley is getting the timeframe does not fit answer.

pavlik offered a fight in may 2006 to fight calzaghe in october 2006 would not have fitted a timeframe ????

According to Papa Calzaghe, Pavlik needs to win 5 to 8 belts before he's worthy enough to fight Joe. Right now he has 2. Only 3 more belts to go before we can see this fight.

Typical American BS. Pavliks been a world champion about 10 minutes and you have him as something special. Once the wheels come off his bandwagon you guys wont been seen for dust.

This is the first time anyone has presented this information, and I have ask for it many times. I'm not sure what your source is, but in light of this, the time line would make sense. Offering a fight to a middleweight whose best win was Zuniga does not. Especially not a middleweight who was unknown, and recovering from a career threatening injury. If I was Joe, I sure wouldn't be bragging about it.

This is the kind of inane bull**** ESB could do with out. I love a good knock down drag keyboard battle with guys like 196osh, The Cobra, Scar, Dan B, and a few others. I also enjoy going tit for tat with guys like TFFP. **** like this isn't even worth responding to. My policy is to never engage in a war of wit and intellect with an unarmed man.

Has a restraining order preventing you from coming w/in 100 yards
    of Joe been issued yet?
