Deontay Wilder's handlers don't want the third fight, they know Fury will win.

They'd sooner have Wilder go back to fighting old men and chinny journeymen.

    He needs to fight Whyte...

It's the perfect fight for him.

Perhaps Fury has little to gain by beating Wilder again, and would rater take a warm up fight then give it a go vs Joshua?

Perhaps fury has PED issues and can't test clean?

Perhaps Fury would rather see Joshua beat a contender first?

Hopefully they make the mistake of fighting someone like Jennings. Jennings is a bit worn down now but I still wouldn't put it past him boxeing Wilders ears off and picking up a big upset(to the bookies and most casual fans - not knowledgeable boxing fans). The Jennings from 2013-2016 beats Wilder. Easy. Even recently he's given the likes of Joyce and Rivas all they could handle.

And how long would that last? Dude is 35.
I would go after Fury again and then get another easy KO after that. All it takes is for Wilder to score a single visually impressive KO and he will be right back in the mix.
Fury III, comeback fight and then Joshua. Easiest way to most amount of money.
