    Man up ???

I've always manned up on my picks Ams_t . . . I never makes excuses. You are making it appear that picking Bhops is senseless, illogical and an out of this world thing. :rofl

The fact is both fighters are very much capable of beating each other . . . no big deal.

    Chill off! :yep

If Calzaghe beats Hopkins decisively, as he is able to, I will give him mad props, and verify my theory that Calzaghe is better now than ever.

I do think at this point that Calzaghe is superior to Hopkins, but for some reason I think that Hopkins will make this an ugly fight, and difficult for Joe to shine.

That being said, I have no doubt that Calzaghe will win this one - only the biggest robbery in history by the judges will alter that fact.

I'll want you to personally admit that SMW is a tough ****ing division and that you can't rate fighters for **** that aren't Mike Tyson.:yep

If Joe stops Hopkins, I'll give the #1P4P rating to Calzaghe. But I think it's not possible. Tomorrow probably is the beginning of the end of that Supernatural BS of Amsty.:yep

What puts me to ease in debating you is that you are a clown and know **** about boxing, constantly being proven wrong. You will never understand the difference between an elite, a top fighter and a supernatural and you couldn't even tell me what official style Pac fights out of, go away.

General concensus, JC is good.... but is he an ATG?

Lose to a very close win, NO.
Clear UD, Yes. (at least 116-112)

Both fighters will get credit. Both will deserve the credit they receive if they go out there for 12 hard rounds and battle.

There will be people who scream robbery as usual...and others who spout off excuses. At the end of the day, We're going to be witness to an uppealing battle for supremacy.

I think Calzaghe will work in spurts and throw large combinations at Hopkins...two might land but all 10 of those punches will be seen by the judges. Hopkins will make it dirty but Calzaghe will be prepared for a hugathon.

Calzaghe by a CLOSE SPLIT DECISION.

Can't see Hopkins losing by KO. He may well lose on points though....

I have calzaghe by a comfortablle decision, around about 116-112 or there abouts, though you can never rule hopkins out, have done this before in the past and been made to look a fool, however going with calzaghe UD

At this point, my opinion of Hopkins today mixed with my opinion that Calzaghe will be looking to not just win and outclass him, but destroy him makes me believe that Hopkins doesn't even have a good chance of lasting the distance. 25% if I had to pick a number. I've been thinking Calzaghe by TKO before the fight was announced and although Brooklyn is picking Hopkins and Teddy Atlas is picking Calzaghe (I never could imagine a situation where I strongly disagree with Brooklyn and Teddy is on my side ), I'll stick with that pick.

The hype surrounding this fight is making a lot of excited fans forget how past-it B-Hop is. When analyzing the matchup, I think a lot of people are looking at it like it's a prime vs. prime matchup instead of being realistic about what Hopkins is capable of doing in 2008. It will be shocking if Hopkins makes it close at all.. no matter how bad he wants it or what kind of condition Mackie Shilstone got him in, he can't compete with a motivated, true A+ elite fighter right now. Hopefully it will be an early blowout like CHJ predicts, because I would hate to see Hopkins get punished for no reason at 43 years old.

As a Hopkins fan, if he loses I really don't think it's a huge deal and it shouldn't affect his legacy negatively at all. Even if he gets blown out, he will have nothing to be ashamed of. If anything, he should be extremely proud because he has already accomplished something that I don't think has ever been accomplished before in modern boxing. Being only a 2 to 1 underdog at 43 against arguably the top P4P fighter in the world is unbelievable.
