the only thing the British title has to it is a history of being the oldest belt in the world

sometimes real good fighters get it in their career sometimes they do not, its actual significance these days is just like the Yank belts and the euro belt , neither one is actually a higher step than the others it just depends on who has it or who u beat for it

All my posts have been in support of BBBofC.

Its not perfect but its better than promoters doing what they wish.

After all this ****** we're talking about here, good honest and true always......

A board has to support the fight and one has

The BBBC cannot stop anyone else working in the UK

I do disagree with their punishing all involved bollocks.

That means fighters will be torn.

If this was not in UK, nothing would be heard!

I'm only with Frank on this because if the BBBoC win we won't see Haye - Chisora and I'd really like to see it.

No, they were right to withdraw Chisora's license. He proved himself 'unfit' to box professionally, by acting like a ****ing loon several times at a world title event. He needs to sort his head out and re-apply and state his case (or wait out his appeal and present his case there, or at a later date).

Anyone can see Chisora was a twat. It's that simple.

    :huh
Yeah, and the BBBofC have ALWAYS spoken out against white collar boxing, haven't they ?

Some of us always knew the BBBofC don't decide who boxes.
But they ARE recognized as the legitimate licensors of legitimate professional boxing. EVERYONE who wants to be recognized as a proper professional has seeked the board's approval, always.
That's not something we all only just realised.

If you want to say the board are irrelevant, that's fine.
Unlicensed, semi-pro, and white-collar boxing exists. They ALL have a right to exist.

BUT the BBBofC has a right and valid reason to say they DO NOT recognize such events, and they have every right to say that people who hold their licenses should not be allowed to support unlicensed or alternatively-licensed shows.

I understand why people are backing Warran, but I think it's stupid to say the BBBofC should not be allowed to withdraw their own licenses.

They were right to act, wrong to suspend his licence and say he could apply with them or another body. It was a bizarre attempt to give a permanent ban without actually giving one.

They misapplied their own rules and are now complaining about a loophole they opened.

I dislike Chisora intensely, but what the board is doing is corrupt. They screwed up and are trying to threaten the earnings of professional fighters other than the principle two rather than just let it go and sort out their own problems.

They should have given him a fixed ban, even up to a year. They could have reinstated him with a conditional licence for this fight and made clear the standards he'd need to abide by.

Instead they arrogantly assumed they were the only game in town. They're not.

Then ban him for a determinate period....this issue is of the BBBofCs own making

They speak out against it - so what it is allowed this is the point.

If the board stopped anyone having their license cause they did a job for someone else they will get sued into the ground- put that scenario into any other business model ffs

also you would only get UK v UK boxers and no international boxing would ever happen.

Different boards operating in alternative countries is not new, its done elsewhere, there is nothing wrong with it!

However when you have a monolopy and you are used to setting down the rules in the best or 2nd best boxing nation (scuse the pun) in Europe, and you get a slap of reality - it must be frightful.

Lets get the free trade on this market busted wide open , multiple boards doing shows in the UK would open more doors for the fighters and competition is good

Get a life. No one got hurt, no one died. The board is as wrong as it could be.
