I would actually like for this fight to happen, because it's likely to at least get us rid of one of these guys. Haye could put such a beating on the old man he'd be forced to finally give it up. Or Holyfield could KO this young, loudmouth, gutless clown who hasn't accomplished nearly enough to garner the kind of attention and acclaim his mouth has gained him. Either way, the heavyweight division would be a little less of the joke that it is with one of these out of the picture of contenders.
Holyfield would be more competitive in this fight than many expect. Not so much because he has that much left, but because at HW, Haye is nowhere NEAR as good as some might think - which is why he's looking to fight glass-jawed jokes like Harrison.
The fact of the matter is, if Holyfield expects to be undisputed champion again, he must fight Haye. That's all. 'Might not be good for him, but he must fght Haye. IF he gets past Haye... just sayin'... then he gets a Klitschko, one or the other, next.
Holyfield has a chance against Haye, but zero chance against Vitali or Vlad. Holyfield did better against Valouev than Haye did. Holyfield deserved a decision against Valouev and Haye did not. What the fights and see for yourselves.
It really is a worry that Holyfield keeps on fighting, i hope that someone can stop him before he gets badly hurt. Haye would take the fight.
^^True Although Haye must realise he needs the Klits more than the Klits needs him if he wants to seriously be looked upon as a HW World Champ. Right now his actions are getting in the way of that ever happening.
I don't think he has much of a chance against Haye, even. He's too old in boxing years. But he must fight Haye (if he gets past Tua..) to settle this notion of him being legit heavywweght champion again.
Holyfield would fit perfectly into Haye's HW record: 38 year old Barret 36 year old Valuev 38 year old Ruiz 39 year old Harrison 48 year old Holyfield A bunch of over-the-hill have-been's or nobodies. Exactly the type of low quality opponents Sauerland put in front of Valuev for years in the WBA circle jerk and sold to the dumb naive Germans, Haye copies the strategy and sells worthless opponents as "exciting matchups" to the dumb Brit fans.
