Whether its for Golovkin or Hopkins it seems alot of fans on here are defending either way.

Its not on record, but his resume says hes not a particularly good fighter whatever his weight division was.

We'll the obvious one would be Roy Jones and when I said he also fought good opposition, I meant throughout his career as a whole.

Welters that gradually moved up. What don't you get? Brook has never even fought past 147 and is being dragged up directly from 147. Oscar and Tito moved up to 160 from 154 pounds. That's the difference. GEEZ

"Former" is the key word. Is Brook a former WW?

If GGG fought the likes of Kovalev,Calzaghe,RJJ,Pavlik, Chad Dawson, etc, we'd forgive him the occasional Brook. But he hasn't.

Hopkins beat two first ballot hall of famers who gained belts at 154 and 160.

History is littered with current Welterweight champs/ former champs challenging Middleweight titleholders. This isn't something new.

At that time Roy had never contested a world title and was not proven. I don't see that as Hopkins looking for that fight when they were two fighters contesting their first title shot
Still who do you feel was the good comp for his mW reign?
As said, I think Holmes was a good win
