This fight would give Bute exposure unlike any other. If his management believe in his skills they should try to make the fight. The thing is if Hopkins is calling him out he probably has a good game plan to beat Bute. Hopkins will not follow him around the ring like the other fighters, and Bhop is confident fighting southpaws.
Key word "common", which doesn't mean impossible. There is always a first time..You do realize boxing is a dirty sport don't you? Keep Bute undefeated is what its all about. There is a reason why he didn't joing the super 6.
Yes people do want to see him against s6 guys, but to say those guys are bigger names than Bhop is wrong. In America Bhop is the biggest name that Bute can fight. They could meet at 170 .
My my gentleman,15 pages.I seem to have missed all the fun here. Bute will need to fill his time because the winner of S6 will probably have a less taxing homecoming defence afterwards and even if Bute gets the loser it will be a while yet.Bernard would be that big name Bute needs on his resume and old man or not,it can't be argued that he will be a credible opponent. I'm sure if this is possible Bute will jump at the chance and probably fancy his chances, although experience has told me you should NEVER write off The Executioner.
You still haven't listed ONE hometown decision from Interbox. "We're ready to take a step back financially to get Lucian the world class exposure he needs for those doors to open" - IBox pres And, obviously... 'There is a reason why he didn't joing the super 6.' tells everybody here you're full of ****in ****. Bute-Andrade II scheduled for an HBO date / Showtime puts the S6 together = same timeframe. Nice try, kid. :yep
My preferences, and feel free to ask me why: 1. S6 final loser 2. Andre Dirrell 3. S6 final winner 4. BHop All valid choices, different impact on Bute's credibility @ 168.
As a Bute fan I'm not interested too much. But the only reason is that it would be BORING. Because I'm primarly a boxing fan.... And, if Bute is taking the super 6 winner, I don't know how anyone could complain about him not facing Hopkins. That being said, If they can'T find a "notable" opponent, why not...
1. As a measuring stick against the S6 Winner, a big fight in it's own right which if won would set up a fight against the S6 Winner nicely, arguably making it an even bigger prospect? 2. To finish this ***** for good and for good measure, leaving no-one at 168 bar the S6 Winner? (and the emerging British forces Groves and DeGale ) 3. By this time it'd be mouthwatering, a massive fight. 4. A big name and introduction to the LHW scene, a win setting up a long awaited clash with maybe Pascal or a unification with other belt holders? (presuming B-Hops has a belt by then) Close? :!:
Spot on. Wouldn't necessarily call Dirrell a ***** as he'd prolly whoop my ass in real life or run faster than I can, but hey... ...the ***** called out Bute just a couple months ago, and is fighting the guy Pavlik was gonna face before getting it on with Bute. So, hmm, yeah.
I agree with you in the way that if and if and if then Hopkins. In the world of boxing whoever it's hard to predict what will happen and like you said boxing fans wants to see Bute against the best period.
