So Hopkins wants Bute ....

I'd like something concrete before commenting in real depth about this,but it would be an ideal opportunity if Bute wants to silence those who question his choice of opponents.Bute MUST take this fight if he's offered it.

 

Yes we can...

1. Will he come down to Bute's weight or will he expect him to step up to LHW?
2. If the fight happens how will he fight (will he be spoiling, fauling etc)?
3. If the fight happens and he takes a beating, will he take it like a man or find a backdoor out?

 

considering hopkins' age you shouldn't be buying his fights to begin with.

but the man is a great of boxing, and considering bute's reluctance to fight the top guys in SMW, hopkins is doing him a favour giving him a crack.

 

His age is what makes him a draw some what. . . . . . You watch his fights to see if "hey, can this old guy pull it off again??"

When you see performances like the Pavlik or Dawson fight, it makes you want to see more of him, but he then ruins it by acting like an idiot like against Jones, Calzaghe, Or Dawson.

Hopkins has one more with HBO.
We will have to wait.

I certainly don't think it makes you a coward or brings your heart into question.Not everyone can be Sugar Ray Leonard,the fact he's reached the level and status he has only weakens your argument.He's not called a throwback for nothing you know,a lot of the great fighters of old did all the things Bernard did and more.There aren't many guys who fight Gatti style and go far in the boxing world.Most hardcore boxing fans appreciate that not all styles are "easy" on the eye.

 

Not going to happen, Bute is a glorified hometown hero who's been Ko'd before and still didn't lose atsch

So not considering the fact Bute and his team like to hide up in Canada avoiding the best 168lbs fighters there's no way this fight comes off as a loss to Hopkins would be devestating to Bute's coddled career.

Also i'm sure Hopkins can make 170lbs so that's the weight it would have to be at.

 

Bhop would beat Bute.
