You don't have to make it into a Gatti style fight as you mentioned, but at least make it look like a boxing match!
Spoiling just isn't brave... it is a way to try to avoid the fight while in the ring or try to get an underserved win by breaking the rules. If it was so accepted, no one would have dumped **** all over Ruiz, K. Johnson, Dirrell etc.

 

Pathetic !! Hopkins needs to give up the lt heavy weight strap then if he intends on fighting super middles ....He owes boxing that rematch with Dawson but we all know the $ is the real match maker !

All I've been trying to say from the start is that for 46 year old Hopkins to fight a real live opponent like Bute at this stage of his career would be a courageous move.To say that the way he fights means he has no heart is ludicrous.You make the most of what you've got,and Bernard has made a lot more than many fighters with much more skill and ability.You'll never convince me and I'm sure many others that the way he fights suggests he has no heart.The fact he's still in many P4P lists at 46 wipes out your point.Sorry,but just because you don't like his style does not make him a heartless coward.He certainly isn't casual fan-friendly but most people who know boxing can appreciate the way he fights whether they like it or not.

I expect a match between Hopkins and Bute would look a lot like the Hopkins-Pavlik fight with the ATG schooling the young inexperienced Canuck Slav to the point of embarrassment.

Heart is also something completely different as balls.
One can say I have huge balls if I step into the ring with Vitali, but when I run and start crying after the first jab you can clearly say I have no heart :deal
Also if I step into the ring with someone my own class or just above I don't have much balls if I spoil all the way through, but I might have heart if I make it to the end if he turns out to be a lot stronger.
