If this is correct, it just looks like Hopkins is trying to get out from rematching Dawson

Nard would be crazy to make this fight. would love to see it, but Bute would get zero credit for winning so I'd actually rather see Bute vs S6 winner.

It was Dawson who said he didn't want a rematch...

Also who would want to see it anyway?

Dawson said that straight after the fight when still in the ring.
Lets not forget that Hopkins team were looking for legal loopholes to get out of the fight or be stripped.

Why wouldnt people want to see the fight? It was one that people were looking forward to before it happend and nobody got to see how it would unfold due to Hopkins looking like he wanted out

Like another poster said , Hopkins is with HBO , Bute is with Showtime. Unlikely to happen. But , if the fight going to happen , should be at 168.

    Bernard Hopkins
    Andre Dirrell
    Anthony Dirrell
    Jean Pascal

All fighters more than willing to fight Lucian Bute. And Lucian wants to fight in between now and the S6 winner. So if he does not fight one on the growing list of available, great opposition, he'll put another damper on his record.

Glen Johnson was a good fight for him, one of these guys are more than worth it.

Here's what I think should be the priority of Bute and his team. Minding that he have still one fight at 168 to do in his contract with Showtime.

Super six winner (Ward or Froch)
Super six looser (finalist) (Ward or Froch)
    Kessler
Any one of the 175 you quote, but at 168.
    One of the Dirrell
Any new 168 that might arise then

when his contract with showtime is done, then 175 fights might be interesting if the Ward/Froch/Kessler fights cant be made.

It's Bute precision and timing that make him so dangerous!

BHop has unfinished business with Dawson. That is the only fight he should be making.

I think Bute edges out a UD against BHop...

precision, timing, and looking good in general is a different story against powder puff fighters than it is against higher tier fighters, where he won't have it all his own way
