Some (if not most) of which are casual boxing fans with limited knowledge about the sport, and your giving your mostly baseless hypothesis on what was going on in another person's head (which is rarely ever true just about every time anyone does it) and touting it as if it's fact... That opening monologue about Bradley was just disgusting... Disrespectful to Bradley (he's basically calling him a liar), and then he gives those ******ed reason to "prove" it. I mean the guy belongs on ESPN. If they're gonna give someone a show, why not Kellerman? I don't care all that much about his opinion either, but at least his biases are hidden much better than Lampley's. Also Lampley's coming off more and more like a BOXER fan oppose to a boxing fan, which you can't say about Kellerman at the end of the day. There's no other boxing show out there, why does the only one we get have to be a complete bias farce... Lampley's officially the Rush Limbaugh of boxing I didn't see this thread topic floating around anywhere... I assume either everyone else has too much sense to even watch the show, or it's been drowned out with more interesting topics... I just wanted to say this
Just watching this now. Even when he's not just shilling for his and HBO's favorites, he says ridiculously dumb things. He actually thinks the closest analogue for Floyd-Maidana is Floyd-Cotto, which is just silly.
jim lampley denied my request for a photo on the day of pac/cotto in the wing leading to the arena in the afternoon...eff him!
Anyone who says The Ring is not credible for being owned by Golden Boy should also see how ridiculous this show is, being financed and televised on HBO.
I was standing in a pack of folks who stopped him right outside the MGM Arena right after Mayweather/Ortiz. I don't know why I describe it like this always; but I breathed down on his head (Lampley is short) as I listened to him explain in a super excited Lampley-voice, "I called it a legal blow! I called it a legal blow during the broadcast!"
For somebody who has watched as many fights as Jim Lampley has, you'd think he wouldn't be a bumbling idiot. I wonder how much booze and drugs he's had over the years... Perhaps he just walks around in an endless fog. Sorry, but I can't stand Jim, and think he's a total HBO fanboy (they pay his bills after all) and ignorant in regard to boxing. The guy only knows how to beat his women and has never even laced up a pair of gloves in his life. Not as a kid, amateur, or adult.
I mean he got the molinas mixed up and its a show that he only does several times a year how the f does that happen... crap production value for a crap show
