I'm still trying to figure out how people scored the first round so clearly for bisping? I had to rewatch it because of all the bitching around here and still don't see how he won that round.:huh I think it's hate for Sonnen more then anything.
Terrific match-up and the actual fight did not disappoint. It was the only fight I enjoyed out of the three shown on Fox. I gave Sonnen a slight edge in the fight: 2 rounds to 1. 29-28 but the first round was razor-close and could have went to Bisping which would change the verdict to 29-28 Bisping. Was it just me or did Bisping seem to be really coming on at the very end of the fight? He is known for his incredible stamina and conditioning. This will probably happen again somewhere along the line. Especially if Sonnen annexes the title against Silva. There would also be the chance though of a trilogy between the two should Sonnen defeat him.
I'll say this Ajax this was definately a fight that warranted the extra 2 rds. You maybe right about the hate.........everytime Chael opens his mouth I cringe with the **** that dribbles out. The 1st round was very close due to both not really doing too much but I gave it to Bisping as he pressed the action.
:good I saw Sonnen gassing very quickly during the fight and I went :blood, then I heard Rogan mention his horrible weight cut and it made sense. People seem to give Bisping the first round mostly because they were shocked it wasn't as one sided as they expected it to be and Bisping made it a fight, not so much because of what Bisping actually did in that round. Including Rogan, who even went to say 'the third round was MOSTLY Sonnen'. If you rewatch it you'll see it was in no way a clear round for either guy and you could definitely give it to Sonnen because of the takedowns and aggression. Chael looked uncharacteristically exhausted throughout the fight, but still edged out the decision imo, the third round was a statement from him to my eyes considering how gassed and weak he looked in the fight. The 30-27 card was a joke, of course. A blind man would have given Bisping the second round. Oh, and since when the Wanderlei fight was a 'robbery'? Bisping was almost knocked out in the third round, so how can anyone give him that round. The second round was also clearly Wandy's (Bisping didn't do anything in the first 3 minutes of the round and he was almost choked out at the end of it). The only round I gave to Bisping in that fight was the first one (where he scored two takedowns), although you could also make a case for Wandy even in that round because of the late flurry where he hurt Bisping. Some people have a weird perception of a 'robbery'. :conf
Ok i wanna start by saying that Sonnen hands down won the fight and i beleive that for the following reasons Ok , Bisping , he fought really well in terms of ranking prior performances with much lesser opponents than Chael Sonnen , who before the weekend was walking through brick walls , that i will grant him Breaking down his performance , he was taken down 5 times , mounted once for longer than 60 seconds and had his back taken with both hooks in once for longer than 60 seconds , there the facts , when looking at the grappling aspect of this fight Striking , he never went and looked for Sonnen , he was almost always on the back foot and only really threw counter strikes to Sonnen bulldozering in when Sonnen gave him the opportunity , it was clear that Bisping should of had more success with his boxing , but he just didnt commit to knocking Sonnen out !!!!!! Bisping in the whole fight was reacting to Sonnen's offence and not creating much of his own offensive damage , and that was with everything , Grappling , Clinch , Striking and JJ Ranking Sonnen's performance , aggression and effective grappling went to him hands down , striking was about even maybe edging to Sonnen as he for me done the most damage with strikes , and the clinch was about even maybe edging towards Bisping for his excellent knee's in the clinch , for me Sonnen won every aspect of this fight and i had him a clear cut winner I scored the fight as follows Round 1 - 10 - 9 Sonnen Round 2 - 10 - 9 Bisping Round 3 - 10 - 9 / 8 Sonnen With the 3rd IMHO being as close as it gets to being a 10 - 8 round to somebody in a fight as closely contested as this one , to that end , if i were a judge on this fight and i had scored the first 2 to Bisping , i would of had to score the 3rd 10 - 8 to Sonnen as what happened in that round was by far and away the most decisive offensive portion of this fight , so much so by default it would of had to outweigh what Bisping produced to win his rounds , to the point were it must of been seen as a 10 - 8 round
kind of like the way everyone expected pac to blow marquez out of the water, then when marquez started doing good the close rounds most people gave to marquez because of this reason
Even thought the poll has narrowed slightly, I'm still quite shocked by the stats. Not even 50-50. Chael was the aggressor for the whole fight and was either bulldozing on his feet, going for takedowns, securing takedowns, going for subs. Everything Bisping was doing was defensive and counter.
My bad, you need a homoerotic image. He lays on MEN. Are we clear? That **** is disgusting. Is it or is it not disgusting? Answer the question.
As someone who is bisexual and has since being a teenager played an active part in the gay rights movement, I'd say no.
