Roy looked pretty good against Lacy, obviously not back to his best, but not as bad as he had looked in some other fights like against Hanshaw, so how do you rate Green's chances? What does he have to do to win and how likely do you think it is that he'll pull it off?
RJJ via boring decision... he will start sharp but when he realises Green is twice the tomato can Lacy was he'll back off and coast to a win over the slower Green
Replay the Lacy fight and put Green in for Lacy....RJJ TKO 10 However I hope Green can get the win :good
Thank you for impressing upon the Aussie forum the depth of your intelligence and the sharpness of your humor.... Now **** off dimwit...............
hahaha look at the pitiful attempt to get a rise out of us. You basically had to hang it on a stick and wave it in our faces, then when nobody gives you a bite you try harder to some avail, but clearly you fail to see nobody here gives a **** bud - go **** your mum
Glad you brought up the Hanshaw fight Tommy because I could actually see the fight going similar to that. Which at home gives Green a decent chance of getting the win. Green doesnt fight like Lacy..doesnt have his style or build. He actually probably fights more like Hanshaw if anything. Roy didnt all of sudden become unshot...His handspeed has never really left him (though it clearly isnt what it was) but his reflexes and especially his legs are well gone. Green is a rangy guy with a ramrod jab and solid if not basic skillset. He wont wade in head first like Jeff and will take more of a stalking approach. If Roy wants to sit on the ropes I see Green better equipped to actually make him pay...even if he is missing 95% of his shots. At home he need only outwork Roy, doesnt need to do anything flashy...Just really throw more leather at Roy and take his opportunites when Roy gives them to him as he lays on the ropes. Its unlikely Jones spurt fighting will see him getting a verdict go his way outside of his base. Easier said then done though...Even if Roy has dropped down a few levels, where he was coming from is lightyears away from anywhere Green is or ever was. So he probably still has enough left to take this. Ill say Roy on a split...but way more things in Green's favor for this fight then Jeff had when he took on RJJ.
I hope Green can win.... that would be awesome.... But realistically, i think roy wins a boring hug/pitterpatter fest.
I think your spot on there. Greeny will be too slow and predictable for Roy. He'll put up a better fight than Lacy but won't come close to landing anything noteworthy. Still fights way too stiff and robotic to cause Jones any trouble, even at this age.
I have a feeling this one will stopped by the ref. Green will struggle with RJJ's speed and his punches seemed to have a bit of sting on them in the Lacy fight so the ref might intervene on this one. Still, I'm hoping Green get's him on the ropes and unleashes in the chance that one lands on the button.
