Khan has been walked down by two guys who walk in straight lines with no head movement. That's Peterson and Maidana. Maidana exposed Khan's inability to avoid the looping right hand. Peterson confirmed that Khan can't avoid looping right hands.
Floyd showed in the Cotto fight that he can throw the right hand behind the glove.

Even with Peterson cheating, he still showed Khan has zero inside game, he can't protect nor fight in the pocket.

So the whole idea of Khan beating Floyd will be stating the khan can outbox Floyd in the center of the ring. Do Khan supporters really believe that? Khan maybe faster, but his timing is below average. I would take Cotto's timing over Khans speed any day.

So even if Floyd lost his reflexes and legs overnight, I still couldn't see how Khan has a chance.

Amir doesn't beat Floyd. If someone as unrefined and unpolished as Rene was able to time him, Floyd can do it. Amir gets treated like Floyd treated Mosley.

The buildup to this fight would be incredible though

He never beat him the first time. In fact, they've never even fought.

You know he wasnt using the word again in that meaning?

More like.....remind me how Khan beats Floyd.....

Anyway Khan is very fast and Floyd doesnt exactly throw a lot of punches so it is possible but I do not believe it.

    Khan doesn't beat Floyd.

and maidana caught khan with a lucky shot, got outclassed for the majority.

Yes Khan outclassed him, but the SHOTS weren't lucky.

Yeah, I was just messing, mate.

But to answer his question - only if Floyd ages really badly, then maybe, just maybe, Khan could pitter-patter with high workrate and steal a decision. That's assuming he learned to vary his attacks, too. Right now he's too predictable, and Floyd would pick him off.

The thing about Khan not being able to deal with come-forward pressure fighters, doesn't concern me that much, to be honest. Floyd's not a Maidana or a Peterson in that he'll hunt him down like a bull.

khan has a decent chance. you cant go by every fight and say this is why he will lose. and the odds will be less than the 6-1 or 5-1 vs cotto too.
if floyd doesnt fight sergio, khan is the next big fight, because we know pac wont ever happen

LOL just checking you never know with ESB.

I think Floyd that we saw with Cotto destroys Khan as long as the fight is in the next 12 months.

I would like to see Floyd in with someone faster than himself...

Stick and move with shoe shine combos is the way to do it against Floyd these days. Cotto had some success in the 6th with it. Khan has that amateur pedigree to get it done.

He doesnt, and at the moment he doesnt even deserve a shot at him. I'm a Khan fan but he's not shown himself to be worthy of a Mayweatheresque fight, he needs to fight some bigger players as his best win to date, is without doubt maidana and given how he fought in his following fights, isnt that much of an achievement. I do believe Khan is good enough to step in the ring with Floyd but i dont believe he's shown it against opponents at high enough quality.

I don't think Khan would have a chance right now. If he keeps improving, he'll have one down the line. His style has a solid base for having success against Floyd, but as of right now it's far too unpolished. His jab is good and quick, but he lunges with irresponsible combinations. He falls in onto his opponents often, and Floyd could outwork him in spots in the clinch that way. Ultimately, he'll be too easy to hit for Floyd. If Khan were to work on an offensive inside game, tighten his punching form, bring his hands back, learn to relax a little, and loosen up his upper body, then he'd have a shot.
