I have always thought they were better than the fab four Welterweights of the late 90's and now it is becoming more and more evident. Both sets of fighters were brilliant but it is becoming clear to me. De La Hoya, Trinidad, Mosley, and Quartey. Pacquiao, Morales, Barrera, and Marquez. I would go out on a limb and say these are the best 4 fighters in their peak around the same division since the early 80's. Even better than 94 with Hopkins, Toney, Jones, and Eubank all at MW or SMW!
I agree. They are better but dont get the credit b/c they are little guys. But look how PAC and JMM are moving up beating the crap out of lightweights..lol
This is it right here. They are taking it to Lightweights like no Featherweights have done since I think Arguello.
And they started as actual small fighters. Fighting at 112-122, (Pac) 122-126 (MAB, EM) and a career 126'er (JMM) Not huge featherweights/lightweights that were experts at cutting weight during during weigh-in.
the FW four are all in my fav all time fighters,i could spend a all day watching the great fights that happened between them.i will surelly miss them when all of them leave boxing.
yeah, they were pretty amazing, infact i'd say they're better then those WW's IMO if only the HW division had half as much talent
