i had only watched one fight of his. that's the fight at pride FC where he's the HW champion and he's fighting a guy rated in the top 10 (not #1). in that fight, his opponent got from an early start, landing a couple of blows that took fedor on ***** street. Fedor then clinched and clinched until he recovers. Fedor ended up winning by a rear naked choke.

So how good he is let's say, can we compare him with Couture (not H2H but skills, i know he's big)?

PS: one thing more, i remember antonio rodrigo noguiera was his #1 contender back then. Did they fight?

    thoughts guys, i'll appreciate it

He is basically the GOAT MMA fighter, he can do everything. KO you standing, sub you in many different ways, an has sick GnP. He is faster stronger, better GnP, better subs, better stand up and has better GnP than Couture, and would have beaten him up H2H.

He fought Nog 3 times, beat him twice and one was a NC due to an accidental head butt.

Fedor, for all intents and purposes, is the Muhammad Ali of MMA - only more dominant. He has fought and beaten almost everyone of note, including 5 former UFC champs, two of them twice.

I suggest you look for yourself, you won't be disappointed. There's some good footage of Fedor in action as well as commentary from top authorities on MMA in this video:

If anyone is gonna beat Lesnar, it will be him. He is a fair bit smaller though, but watching that vid, the guy is ferocious!

wow. this guy may be fighting by instincts. that's why he's so fast. he storms his opponents then when his opponent reacts, he knows what to do right away. damnn

That's probably true. He's an excellent strategist as well though, great at finding the weak points of his opponents and exploiting them.

And 196osh wasn't exaggerating when he said that Fedor's GnP was better than Couture's. That is not a dent in Couture's legacy, that's just how good Fedor is. His best display of GnP was probably in his first fight against Nogueira, where he beat one of MMA's best BJJ-pratitioners at his own game.

The fight is 30 mins, but one of the most exciting fights I've ever seen nonetheless:

Not really an MMA fan but have seen a few of Fedor's fights. Regarding the previous UFC champions he didnt beat them at there 'peak' What I mean is that he didnt beat them when there confidence was at hits highest and they were maintaining a run. The only to I can think of which he beat when they were near there best were Antonia and Pitbull (cant remember his name but I know he was trained by Roach).

When he beat pitbull....pitbull was crazy for trying the flying knee, he was going fine with his game plan even he stated that he had a rush of blood and he didnt know why he tried the flying knee.

One other thing why would Fedor beat Lesnar. That guy is scary huge I watched him against Mir and he manhandled him. Mir couldnt cope with his weight

    lesnar needs to fight him.

The top man in MMA heavyweight division is fedor, lesnar needs to seek out fedor to prove himself not the other way around.
