He has amazing raw materials, that is a given, but the technical improvements he's made are astonishing, he beat Hatton up with right hooks. His hand speed is incredible, he delivers power shots faster than his opponents jabs. Morales and Marquez both out-thought the younger, more brash version but he seems to have peaked now and he has versatility and adaptability to face any style. A special fighter and I think I would lean towards him against Floyd, given Floyd's inactivity. He has dismantled Oscar and Hatton in way more impressive fashion. The form line isn't quite conclusive as he fought slightly older versions of both men but it's still a rough guide. Neither guy could really land on him and he shellacked both. It's him or Floyd for fighter of the 00's, they must make that fight happen.
Manny is a fantastic fighter and his resume is superior to Floyd imo. Hatton, DLH, Barrera x2, JMM, Morales x2 I think Morales deserves respect for being the only man to beat Pacman in the last 10 years (above flyweight). Although the fight ruined Erik in the process.
Manny is a great great fighter possibly best of the 2000s (i would have FMJ but its close) it really puts Morales win into perspective heres a good articule on Moraless win http://www.tedspoon.co.uk/MoralesArticle.html
