So how is Margorito supposed to deal with Pac's speed and movement?

It's all about positioning and using your strength advantage to force positions.

Look at it like this. If you are the slower, but stronger man and also have the reach advantage, you can pump a strong jab to force your opponent where you want them to be.

Once you have this established your range is easily found. Then you throw to break guards, not to catch moving targets. What I mean by this is that the head moves but the body doesn't.

Margarito needs to pump a strong jab to push Pacquiao into position and then throw hard right hands to the chest and left hooks to the body. If he can control range without smothering himself he won't need to be as fast as Pacquiao.

For Pacquiao to win he has to avoid the jab and avoid being put into position via Margarito's strength. He can nullify this by nullifying the jab (or if Margarito elects not to jab). If he can freely move into positions he wants and tag Margarito all night, it will be incredibly hard for Margarito to accomplish anything because he will have difficulty finding his range. Finding it after the 8th round is not going to do him any good. Fight will be over by then.

Pacquiao will simply tear up Margarito, winning every round decisively until the corner stops it, anywhere from the 6th on.

I think everyone's forgetting two things:
    1) Pacquiao- clear cut #1 or #2 pound for pound fighter in the world
    2) Margarito- would not be in any sane man's current top 50 pound for pound list

The only way I can see Margo dealing with Pac's speed if he goes to the body early and rough Pacman up when ever he gets close...margo needs to make this an ugly fight for Pac to have some success.

Manny by knockout. Probably before the 6th.

I don't think Margarito will do anything but smother his power just like he did against Clottey and against Mosley.

The reason it worked against Cotto is that Cotto backed up constantly to allow Margarito to find his range easier. When Margarito's opponents use their shorter arms to get in close and land he tends to be clueless.

Against the P4P best in the sport? That will be a real bad thing. At least Oscar knew he had to back away from Pacquiao to find range. I also feel Pac hits harder than he is given credit for.

All in all, that sums it up.

To be effective against Pac you need to use the jab, be a good counterpuncher, have good movement, and an excellent defense (i.e. Juan Manuel Marquez). Margarito has none of the necessary attributes to beat Pac. All Margarito has is size and power which has not helped any of Pac's recent opponents. Pacquiao by 10 TKO.

Marquez did it without an excellent defense!

Exactly my thoughts, in fact thats actually the game plan for Pacquiao to win rather than for Margarito to win.

That was one of the many attributes needed to be effective, you don't need all to win, just most.

If Marquez didn't get hit so often, their fights wouldn't have been competitive!

This is an easy fight for pac, i suppose it is going to be a challenge but from the evidence we have in previous fights, cotto couldnt hold or tie margo up and he had a bad corner with lack of ideas but was still outboxing him easy for the first 7 rounds on poor stamina that wasnt ready for a high output fight, what we do know is pac has that stamona eneergy and good corner so i believe he will draw margo in with his speed and movement and pivot him leading margo to fall short and lean forward this will leave margo open for those good uppercuts and hooks followed by the left hand at an extremely impressive angle, he will make margo look like a zombie but if he decides to stand flat footed and trade he will get tagged more than he needs to and tko.

Again, more idiotic comparisons. Some people have been mentioning PBF/Gatti and now, even worse, Diaz/Paq.

These guys were all roughly the same height and weight at fight time. Margo is going to be 160 and Paq is going to be 148. There is also a 5-6 inch height difference.

If there is any recent comparisons, maybe Corrales/PBF might suffice.

ESB should make people take an IQ test before allowing them to participate.

    Diaz/Paq?

    Un****ingbelievable.
