Nasty I saw a guy get an eye popped out at the ice hockey once , puck caught him right under it and POP out it came eeeeuugh I did a little AM and I still spar for fitness but I'm 32 now and the kids in the gym are getting faster every year ! Did some Shoto-kan karate and a bit of Thai boxing too
No, thinking about starting training as a fitness thing, but no ambitions to fight or anything. Not aggro enough for it.
hahahha, never a truer word spoken. The old head and tricks can only get me so far! i still sometimes spar when we are low on partners for some of the guys, and when I do, I can expect to be eating soup through a straw for dinner......no lie.
I am an AM, but I have only spared and am working on my first fight. I did have a gym fight once which was pretty cool. A three round thing with a guy who was four inches taller than me but only five pounds heavyier. it was a cool back and forth fight that the trainers thought i won. It was so cool because sometimes when i go to the gym people will still talk about it.
i've sparred and had a couple of fights with amateur level..but that was before college, after college i'm gonna go at it again. I love boxing:happy i might even try entering pro after college just for the sake of fighting. I'll be about 24 or 25 yrs old by then, currently 22
i also have baby skin but i haven't been cut badly since i've never fought pro and my skin tends to bruise so easily..
i actually just started at the boxing gym... mostly bag work, hopefully ill be sparrin in a month and a half :good
Have trained in boxing gym and was told I had exceptional hand speed and reflexes and a quick learner, problem is have worn glasses since age seven. I have sparred without them and have considered wearing lenses in the ring but was told this was not a good idea.
I was in an amatuer boxing club when I was a kid. However, I was REALLY into wrestling, so I was never in the club year around.
Thanks for sharing that :good It takes guts to go into a ring knowing you're most likely going to re injure the same ****ing thing over and over and over. It's tough to live like that expecially if you know there is a limit to how far you can go in boxing. Good job though man :good
Had 49 amatuers fights. lost about 20. Got robbed in a schoolboy final. Boxed for England twice. Had a bad accident at 16 was out for 18 months. Should have turned pro but since then Ive became a raving pisspot and womaniser and my arms never been the same since. atsch
