Well in all fairness, we can't blame it on the CPA's. Those usally change when they cut Floydie's ass off and they all do. So he's been told and shown. However, he has been much better of late and the rumour is he stablized his financial situation after the Mosely fight. He did downsize to a 9M crib and got rid of a lot of cars, jewelry and other expensive worthless ****. But i guess you're only young once. Dam man Carson Palmer should give some seminars on how to handle your cash. When the Bengals told him,"we're not trading you!" Carson told them," I can retire ya know. I do have 80M in the bank!"
The thing I dont understand about Floyd is, its not as if he JUST started making money. Floyd has been pulling in millions for over 10yrs. Yet he still acts like a dude who just came across money and doesnt know how to act. If his outside the ring and financial IQ were as good as his in ring IQ, Floyd could have retired after his fights with Oscar and Hatton for good!
Well when you're with Arum you have to slice that pie up pretty seriously! Now he's like a kid in a candy store. I think it's safe to say that he's never had this type of access with Arum!
All in all, he was still very well off when with Arum. Not to the extent that he is ever since leaving, but to be 33yrs old and still be flashing cash in the camera, I think he needs to grow up mentally and invest his cash into something other than betting on NBA games. Oscar is rich. You dont see him acting a fool. Same for Pac and many other fighters. Hopkins is a straight up street dude turned business man, yet he acts like a complete gentlemen.
This is true. At that time Floyd used to hold himself accountable on a social level. He no longer does.....
floyds cash is well invested....and his homes are paid for in cash...he does flash alot and spend some foolishly...but youd be ******ed to think he doesnt have any invested or put away.....but im glad to know you guys are still interested in his money of course he pays haymon...has lawyers and whatnot....everybody in his business(or the sports business)has to.....but floyd is taking home a much larger percentage of his purse and ppv upside than manny is....he is much more in control of what hes taking home than manny is....not to say manny isnt doing well....but look at who hes with...manny sees a big round figure that arum flashes in front of him....but i imagine a good chunk of it is coming back to bob floyd wasnt making slave wages with arum...he was doing quite well....especially for someone who still wasnt known by the general public at the time....that was floyds beef...he wasnt being marketed correctly in order to tap his true earning potential...the guy bought out his arum contract for 600k and hes been climbing the ladder to stardom ever since.... floyds not stupid...he knows exactly what arum was doing when he was under him...and he knows bob hasnt changed a thing in regards to how he does business...so in turn he knows exactly what bob is doing to manny....and floyd knows what kind of deal he has now whenever he fights....he wouldnt be talking about it if he didnt know that his deal was sweeter
Wow! Interesting. But let's take into account that Bob and Floyd became less and less fond of each other as ODLH celebrity grew and ol Bob wasn't even thinking about putting Floydie in their with him. This really pissed Floyd off royally. Why would Bob kill his cash cow? He wouldn't and didn't. So he tried to get JLC to beat Floydie up and he couldn't. At the 1st fight Jeff Mayweather said Arum put his hand through drywall he was so pissed that the judges gave Money the decision. Now Arum promoted both fighters. If you're Floyd you know this dude was not looking out for his best interest. Arum and Manny are on the same page for whatever reason. I think it's just timing!
