Yep! He lost to Kotelnik, but Khan is no Kotelnik. The Ukranian is an excellent counterboxer who can take a good shot.Khan is a fast and capable boxer with a weak chin.I very much doubt that Khan will be able to hold th forth when being under heavy fire.He is fast, but his defence is not as good as Kotelnik's one,and neither is his chin. Styles make fights! Kotelnik's style was tailor made for him.Maidana's one isnt!:hey
maidana by stoppage. khans been stopped before, and maidana hits hard. should get the job done jus tlike prescott.
I think Khan has a style to beat Maidana but not the chin sadly. Maidana is has slow hand speed and slow footwork. If Khan can stick to his game plan i think he beats him worse than Kotelnik. I doubt we will see it though
Based on tonight's performance? Maidana by brutal KO, still. Freddie can only do so much. There's no gameplan to neutralize monster power and relentless aggression for a full 12 rounds.
I voted for Khan on points, i really think his movement and work rate could win this. I can understand the votes for maidana, he's incredibly aggresive and packs a hellova shot. Would be a great win for either fighter.
Ortiz was incredibly stupid against Maidana, otherwise he would've won! Roach won't let Khan be so stupid. I say Khan on points.
Maidana is a wild puncher. Khan could conceivably outbox Maidana for a full 12 rounds with just pure speed and boxing skill. And if anyone can develop a game plan for that, it's Freddie Roach. And he has Manny Pacquiao to spar with, who hits harder than Maidana. Anyone who doubts Freddie Roach and his training team these days turn out to be damned fools. Just ask the bitter Mexicans and the Hatton nuthuggers.
Maidana...Ortiz dropped him twice and he kept on trucking. When Khan makes a mistake or tires he will pay for it . KO after 5 rounds
i'm not sure how well khan would fair against a much, much stronger pressure fighter like maidana. khan may outbox him for a little while, but he doesn't have the power to keep maidana honest and i think the pressure would get to him. maidana KO.
This is in part what I'd say aswell. Tho i'd go for Khan to either stop it or force a stoppage. In short, Maidana doesnt have the chin or defense of Kotelnik, and id favour Khan getting to him first through speed and skill. Khan has plenty shortcommings but killer instinct isnt one of them, and he would get Maidana out of there i feel.
