Anyone else thinks this might have somrthing to do with J Rock asking for stringent testing starting 90 days before the fight?

Hurd always seemed huge for the weight and despite his muscular built his stamina was one of his strong points, of course this might not mean anything and he could be clean i just found it a bit suspicious him pulling out of the fight after the testing demands by Williams.

    Thoughts??

Could be, but coupled with the beating he took and splitting from your trainer isn’t a situation or the perfect situation going into a fight with a guy you lost to.

Personally not happy but if I was advising Hurd I would have done the same thing.

    Does smell fishy though.

This seems like a case of Williams knowing what was up, and acting upon it. Shame we can't see the rematch now, but understandably so.

It's either the testing or having little confidence in flipping the result. Nothing else adds up.

If he ever fights at 154 again then we know that isn't the case.

Maybe Hurd doesn't want to get beaten up like he did in the last fight?

Hurd’s chance, like in all his bouts, is to wait until the opponent is tired and then he can impose his size and engine. But before he gets there, he’s got to take some. This man has already beat him. He don’t want to go through it again.
