I have noticed MMA fans tend to be the worst type of people, there loud, annoying, and usually shorter than the average guy and probably have a smaller dick as well. I have a friend who constantly down plays boxing, because he loves UFC and is part of a local fight league, he keeps bringing up how brutal the UFC is and how boxings for pussies who cant take punishment. At this point I snapped and asked him why do most UFC guys punch like my 13 yearold cousin, who got more snap behind his punches? He got mad and left the bar after I said that, sometimes you have to let this guys know the truth sometimes.
My brother likes MMA he actually did an underground fight. He's only 5' 7" but he's got a 12" appendage.
All this depends on who's fighting. I saw the Hatton/Mayweather fight at a sports bar. They charged twenty dollars to get in (you couldn't do that with MMA) if you were watching the boxing. The bar was made of two rooms with six television screens each, only one of which was showing the MMA fight. There was also a big screen outside in the patio where it was very cold and which showed MMA fight where most of the MMA fans were sitting. In the end, boxing showed you can make more money at it and the fans were warm and toasty inside.
:rofl I dont know about that big, but most guys that like MMA seem to have some kind of complex of some sort.:yep
I dont think MMA will he huge as they are making out, its getting big here in the UK, but I can see it dying down again cause man some of the fights are boring as hell, I went to one in my hometwon of Workington was boring ass ****, I mean we have Butterbean headlining Cage Rage.
His girl friends know..... Yes, there are lots of mma fans who are a tad on the red neck side. Actually I don't even know if my bro has ever watched MMA but he did an underground fight once (to see what it was like) so technically he's probably not a fan. I am a casual fan never paid money for it but through highschool wrestling had some common highschool wrestling opponents of both Mark Kerr and Kevin Randleman (the Monster)....so that was basis of my interest.....But I'd rather watch a good boxing match....
Same here, UFC is alright to watch when nothing else is on, but a boxing match gets me way more pumped up.:good
That because there seems to be a misconception that anyone can box, and the sport of boxing only consist of two guys hitting each other with padded gloves trying to KO one another . Just like you see two guys rolling around dry humping each other, when in reality there's allot of technique thats happening during all of that dry humping , UFC has done allot to educate it viewers on what's acutely going on, that helps the viewers have a more intelligent view and understanding of the sport and it techniques, there doing something that boxing use to do back in the mid 80s but no-longer, boxing no-longer tries to educate it viewers of the sport . So now new view have no insight to the sport and they expect every fight to be a epic action packed Rocky movie , they don't see the little thing fighter do to setup certain punches , boxer using there feet in way to off set there opponent , they mis the small details that make boxing exciting to us as loyal boxing fans. and so when they don't see instant Rocy balboa type of action , they tend to get turned off.
This is the **** im talking about... and another example why i just cant live in society, i would have gotten into a fight with them no doubt... which is stupid... but its just how it is.
