So if Calzaghe retires and dosen't fight Dawson or gives Hopkins his rematch, were does he stand in the All-Time list ?

Im just curious since I've seen so many post wish I find very stupid lately trying to compare Calzaghe to people who have cemented their legacy in the all time list like Jones, Hopkins and Toney, so were does he rank if he retires.

We need to let the dust settle, that could take a good 5 years.

    Top 50
cause he would be a lot higher if he didn't fight so many guys that were past it, Lacy was overrated and his other big wins were against old guys at the end of great careers, his only true big win was against Kessler.

I honestly don't know as I have never written a full top 100, but I don't think Joe would make my 100. I think anywhere between 80 and 130 would be fair enough though. Any higher than 70 is just fanboy silly IMO, his resume is nothing short of feeble.

Top 20 over the last 8 years? Sure!

Top 20 over the last 108 years? No f*cking way!

Read what my man Dinamita wrote and educate yourself.

That seems pretty definite. Do you have the balls to post this top 20 in its entirety though, or are you just a Calzaghe cheerleader?

I actually think Calzaghe is one of the top 100 of all time. Whilst is record isn't, it's better than other fighters that make peoples 100.

To be fair, I'd have Aaron Pryor in there, whilst his record is not fantastic it's clear that he was a phenomenal fighter, who H2H would be the hardest fight for any 135-140lber, some, like Carlos Ortiz and Roberto Duran, who make people top 20's regularly.

Not saying Pryor achieved as much as these guys but no doubt he was as skilled a fighter as any of these guys.

For me, the same thing applies to Joe Calzaghe. Neither man did enough to break into the top 50, but both did enough at certain stages of their careers to prove their talents.

    I picked between 75-50.
