So... after a 2 year lay off PBF moves up to #2 pvp after fighting a lightweight... and not any convincing ww...

So if Cotto beats pac... who is currently is ranked #1 pvp, then where would that place him????

Because I have a feeling even though Cotto fought the top welters, and if he beats Manny... he will still get **** on.

every one sees that mayweather is cherrypicking, but his nuthuggers. Him beating flyweights is just so impressive.

They throw the excuse the he moved up to fight DLH, to which i say they both started around the same weight. Thats the excuse Floyds uses to justify him beating Marquez, he makes it seem like that was some kind of great accomplishment.

    These nut huggers are blind.

    Welters who they have beat
Cotto - mosley, clottey, Judah, Quintana
    Mosley - margo, colazo
Margo - Cotto, Cintron x2, Clottey
    Clottey - Judah
Berto - Colazo(contraversy) but the kid stepped up
Mayweather - ? Judah (dayum whats so impressive about Mayweathers accomplishments
How long has he been at WW?
Come on guys how long are you guys going to accept all his bs fights

Cotto would obviously be ranked higher at welter and already is.

BUT p4p are based on skill and potential as well as recent work. I think PBF showed he still has it, still has his speed and reflexes. He is pretty clearly the better and more skilled fighter of the two and I would have him ahead of Cotto p4p rankings.

Hopefully PBF takes on either Cotto/Pac or Mosley next fight and clears up any doubts on who the best is.

But how can you determine "potential?" Anyone can look great hitting a bag or crap fighter. But only the true greats can do that against a good opponent.

I would like to see Cotto move up in weight and step out his comfort zone for a championship fight:lol:

Cotto can be ranked higher than mayweather when he stops winning vacant belts.

    What's more impressive?

Winning a vacant belt and defending it against live competition?

    or

Winning a belt and defending it against people that everyone in the world knows has no chance?

Floyd beat Hatton at 147. So what. Clottey, Mosley, and Margarito would beat the **** out of hatton and Cotto fought all 3 of those guys.

Floyd beat Judah. So what. So did Cotto and Clottey. And no, Floyd did not ruin judah.

    Floyd beat Mitchell, who cares.

Floyd beat Marquez. Again, any of the top welters would destroy Marquez b/c he is just too small for them.

Now, pound for pound, floyd is amazing. Everything he accomplished before 140 is 100% legit. After 140, it's not impressive at all. This thread is about who should be ranked higher at welterweight. Cotto should be clearly above mayweather at this weight class.

sorry buddy, but just b/c you think he lost 2 doesnt mean he did. there will always be controversial decisions. you have to deal with that.

by the way, i see all you are trying to do is discredit what cotto has done without actually analyzing PBF's welter resume.

    how typical
