Recently, Mayweather fights every 8-12 months, so if Cotto fights Oscar in December, then Mayweather has nothing to do with it.

But seriously **** Oscar, he should just retire already

 

It won't happen in December, unless PBF-DLH 2 is cancelled.

 

It must be for the big payday and not being able to make a fight happen with Mayweather.

We all know that if Cotto takes a DLH fight and wins it'll be meaningless. The fight has to be with PBF.

Arum planned to have Cotto and mayweather JR. clean out the 140 lb. division and then fight each other, thats what they've done, now where's the fight?

Not to mention, like Judah (who some claim is a good win for Cotto, yet not for Floyd), Oscar will be coming off 2 losses (rather than a win over Mayorga), and would have only won like a single fight in his last 6 or so. EDIT: Ooops, I just mentioned Mayorga, and forgot him. 2 wins, then. One of em being lil Stevie Forbes, a nothing fight.

No way in hell would he fight Cotto just three months later.

That fight would take WWAAYY more time to properly promote, not to mention DLH would like some rest before an intense training camp, which he'd need for a challenge like Cotto.

How about adding some other factors into this "what if" scenario. There are always other factos in determining who'll fight who. You're question is too simple.

Did Floyd openly say he'd like to fight Cotto, then only to have Cotto still go after DLH? Did Cotto beat Martgarito or lose? If Floyd busy fighting someone else?

 

If Cotto beats Margarito then Arum is going to use that as a public outcry for a match with Mayweather by saying Miguel fights everyone Floyd wont and basically try and hurt his ego into a fight with Cotto.

 

Oh and Oscar should stop already, he is going to mess up a possible great fight by injecting his name in the mix.........
