and to answer your question..as you have already and clearly stated on your other post. Money and legacy(with money as the main reason)

true, pac and pbf are roughly the same age but how many fighters in this generation were successful in fights wherein they went up in weight and challenged the reigning champion or p4p. look at this simple list.

    1. tito got knocked out by hopkins when he went up in weight.
    2. dlh got knocked out by hopkins when he went up in weight.
    3. hatton got knocked out by pbf.
    4. penalosa was tko by juan ma.
    5. tyson was knocked out by holyfield, lewis and douglas wherein tyson was clearly the smaller fighter.

the lists goes on and on. in effect, the rule is that the bigger elite fighter will always win against the smaller elite fighter. pacs wins going up in weight is more of an exception and is the reason why he is considered p4p king.

lets not get carried away by pacs recent success. he is the smaller man, going up against the bigger man who in theory will have a better punch resistance.

how can this fight then be fair? if it was, why then did pbf concede a catcweight against jmm?

money is the main reason. i doubt if it will add to his legacy if he fought 3 midgets notwithstanding p4p status.

really sad, pbf has god given skills a lot of fighters will die to have. its just unfortunate that he did not stack his resume with ATG and HOF.

not all the case, in fact there are examples of elite smaller fighters beating elite bigger fighters when they moved up in weight and its just not pac and i think you already know that remember duran was going up in weight, if you think pac doesn't have a chance against floyd that is your opinion although some other pac fans(sting for example) and me(floyd fan) thinks pac has a chance.

And pac recent sucess shows that he can hang with the bigger guys, when floyd beat baldomir and judah, he moved up to fight hoya and you know hoya had all the tools are in his favor(ring size.gloves, etc.)

pbf agreed on a catchweight against jmm because lets see here, he hasn't fought for almost 2 years, hasn't fought at 140 years ago, the catchweight was fair enough

hatton and pac already fought at 147, and yes it will add to his legacy. In fact hatton was one of his best wins, if they clearly stepped at 147 before(except for marquesz) and was successful there then there shouldn't be reasons to why he wouldn't get credit.

Plus think about it this way, weight jumping for this smaller guys to challenge on the bigger guys is already an old thing, it has been going on even in the past.

Can't these so called midgets to you challenge themselves? How can we see fights like pac-hatton or so many other examples of smaller greats challenging themselves if they all think like you?

and are the current welterweights ATG and HOF? except for mosley? And lets not forget pbf ain't done fighting yet so his career is not yet finish

If he fights Pacquiao I wouldn't call him a cherrypicker anymore, because that is a fight he will lose.

thats not the point. them challenging themselves and going up against bigger odds is what makes pac such a legend in the making. that is props to him and not to pbf.

what i am annoyed is the floydette fans claiming this is a fair and just fight since pac was able to fight at 147? does it follow that since he fought once at 147 and he truly belongs to the weight?

the pac-dlh fight was made because of a confluence of factors. age of dlh being one of them and hence, evened things out.

just because he fought once in 147 that does not follow he should fight there from hereon. in the same manner, it would be unfair for juanma to call out pac to fight at 122 despite being the same height since the pac last fought in that division almost a decade ago.

What the hell do you mean I made it up? Cotto comes into welterweight fights weighning 154, Mosley comes in at 160. Floyd comes in at 148, Pacquiao comes in at 144-145. Whats closer? I know even you can do simple math.

Pac bullied Hatton around the ring, didnt give up any strength, and now *******s are saying that somehow Floyd Mayweather a counter puncher who fought most of his career at super feather is too big for Pacquiao lol? Incredible.

    DUDE,

In that case you would not get the complete respect! PBF will fight on his comfort zone..

On big fights, he'll always stay on or near his comfort zone..

    PBF vs Hatton.... 147lbs....

Hatton never fought at 147lbs.....PBF has been fighting 147lbs for ages..

Did he ever tried what pac did..

fighting from 130lbs, then 135lbs then jumping to 147lbs ALL IN THE SAME YEAR?!

Dude, PBF would not leave his comfort zone... DID NOT EVEN CALL OUT MOSLEY, MARGARITO or COTTO....

IT'S too DAMN risky for PBF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PBF is an established welterweight. Why does not he fight the top guys Mosley, Cotto, Williams?
