He KNEW he wasn't ready. That's the point> Why do you think he threw the hardest punches of his career and literally lifted his own feet off the canvas. I know you're not this dumb, come on

of course he was down, but Pac thought he wasn't because Marquez was holding himself up with the other hand. Pretty obvious.

Obviously, but he still was down, thats the point. He was down, therefore it was illegal.

Pac didn't pretend to embrace him then haul off and punch him. You gotta be kiddin if you think those 2 are comparable. Pac's wasnt even a hard punch regardless! Floyd threw the hardest punch he's ever thrown because his opponent wasn't able to defend. That = coward.

At the heat of the moment the ref didn't call it a knockdown and Pac didn't see the other hand touched the floor. Let us say if Pac didn't give him another punch in that moment. You think the ref will score it as a knockdown and count Marquez? Of NO! because the ref didn't see it as a knockdown otherwise he should warns Pacquiao and send him to his corner.

Pacs punch was a continuation of movement in the middle of a scuffle, Mayweathers shots were against a man who was giving him a hug. Having said that put yourself in Mayweathers shoes and ask yourself what you would do to someone who just headbutted you in the mouth. What he did wasn't viewed as honorable but for some simple being involved in the violence called boxing is consider immoral. Point is were wasting too much time judging a fight that really should just be called a No Contest despite what the current rules allow.

Huh, 9 pages... and here I thought the answer was pretty straightforward.

Floyd's punch was legal, and intentionally cheap shot

Pac's punch was illegal, but not intentionally illegal.

Marquez was technically down, but in the heat of the battle, with Marquez looking like he was still able to hold himself up, it seems understandable that Pac would throw another punch to make sure he was down. It's one of those things that ref's sometimes would make a point deduction and sometimes they don't and wouldn't upset too many people either way. Again, it was a heat of the moment kind of thing, it happens a lot in boxing.
