Apparently Adamek is going to fight Rahman as his early fight this year before his Klitschko date in the fall. So if that occurs both of them are out of consideration. I too thought Rahman made the most sense based on selling the fight to the British public, but if he fights Adamek he's out of the equation. The only guys I think Haye can fight, are available, not coming off a loss (which removes Meehan), not the Klitschkos or promoted by them, and it'd be a credible challenge based off WBA ratings and other top boxers not ranked by the WBA, are: Povetkin Dimitrenko Mormeck Bakhtov Gomez Arreola Thompson He could fight Arreola on HBO since Arreola is a Golden Boy fighter and that can serve as his introduction to the U.S. audience since no one here knows who David Haye is. He beat Mormeck at cruiser, so don't really care to see that. Bakhtov being ranked is shenanigans somewhere. His record is built entirely on cans. Thompson was recently Haye's sparring partner so I don't know if Haye would be keen on that. That leaves Povetkin, Dimitrenko, Gomez, and Arreola.
If you're Rahman what fight would you take? Thats all you need to ask. Povetkin is having all the trainer problems so I can't see that myself, Dimitrenko makes sense, Gomez would be another old fighter, Arreola...too young for Davey boy.
Haye, but Haye has to make an offer first. From what I know they're further down the line with Adamek. Povetkin if he ever wants to be champ better get his house in order and sign to fight Haye pronto.
Actually for some reason I'd be quite interested to see Toney up against Haye. Its kind of sad really.
What's funny is Haye has given the Klitschkoes tons of **** for fighting guys like Rahman. Gomez is similar...old and past it...let him beat someone decent and then give him a shot. Povetkin or Arreola would be great opponents for Haye. These 2 and Adamek are the fights I'd prefer to watch over Haye-Chagaev.
I remember watching video of Haye making fun of Wlad for fighting Lennox left-overs. There will be some funny threads if this fight happens.
people allways go on about the klits fighting bums and nobody's............yeah maybe so... SO WHAT THE **** IS HAYE SUPPOSE TO DO PICK SOME P4P OPPOSITION OUT OF THE AIR THAT DOES NOT EXIST FOR THE KLITS SO IT IS SUPPOSE TO EXIST FOR HAYE!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SOME ****S ARE ****ING BLIND AND THICK AS **** MAN!!!!!!!!
Adamek will be ******ed if he fights Haye in April while he has a huge fight vs the real legit heavyweight champion Wlad in sept in poland.
The only 2 options for Haye not name Chagaev to fight is face either Boytsov who is rank 2nd by the wba or face Povetkin who is ranked 3rd by the wba ranking. <<<That are 2 best available for Haye since Adamek is likely going to take a tune up fight before Wlad showdown in september.
I think Haye will fight on July 2nd - probably against Chisora after Vlad has KO'd Chisora. I have seen nothing so far to prove that Haye has any intention of fighting the better fighters of the HW division. He has no intention of adding to his legacy and is looking for a quick buck to retire off. It may well be better for boxing if he just retires now rather than continually pissing off the fans...
