Yes, he obviously is having doubts after Hopkins gave him such a tough fight and floored him in the process.

Yes, Calzaghe wasn't afraid of Kessler but is afraid of the great Pavlik.

I think Pavlik would beat Kessler. I am a fan of both JC and Pavlik and that is the fight that needs to be made NOT Calzaghe and Glass Jaw Roy Jones.

No way around it as far as I can tell. I bought that he had to stop calling on Pavlik until after Lockett, but I never expected this. I thought Lockett was part of 'the plan'.

While disappointing, there is an upside. Pavlicker's can claim victory without having the fight happen. NO RISK!

Seriously, had he not made the statments that he recently did, there would not be much to say. But to claim it is Pavlik that doesn't want the fight after Arum offered 10 million pounds? :-( Truly sad coming from Joe.

Good point, then why would Calzaghe duck him?

    No.
IMO, these two fighter's don't owe eachother ****.
Calzaghe is a freak of nature who has peaked in his Mid/late 30's.
Pavlik is still wet behid the ears, what is the rush?
Joe will still be around in 09, just wait peep's it should happen.

Kelly is a Middleweight, Joe is a Super Middleweight/LT. Heavyweight.
The question is what happens if Roy Jones Jr. defeats Calzaghe?
Do you still want the Pavlik Fight? or does Jones fill that void?

I think Jones would fill the void if he beat him, Kelly would have nothing to gain if he crushed an already defeated Calzaghe. Nice Avatar

No not at all . Joe is not obligated to fight everyone who calls him out.

Nor, apparently, the people HE calls out. He has been calling Kelly out since the day after Kelly won his title. Mr. 168 calling out Mr. 160. Now Mr. 168 says, "Mr. 160 doesn't want to fight me". BS.

I am dumfounded by the lengths that the Calzombies will go to in order to justify the fact that their hero has no balls!

Hey Hermit -- Can Joe C borrow your squirrel?

Problem is he would have to fight the squirrel and the squirrel already has em.

Pavlik is playing a very clever game in the media. The Calzaghe Mafia can see right through him. He's likely hyponotized Calzaghe and told him to put those statements out, after acting like he really wants this fight

Doesn't work with experienced vets like me :-(
