and I really did enjoy it. It was all about Sports in Maryland basically. Babe Ruth's early baseball days, Baltimore Orioles, Baltimore Colts, Baltimore Ravens, a big Johnny Unitas section. They had a nice section on the two Negro League teams (Baltimore Elite Giants and Baltimore Blacksox). They even had stuff about Michael Phelps.

    So, what upset me?

Well, I was pleased that they had some info on Joe Gans but they didn't have much info. As a matter of fact they had more info about Seabiscuit's win over War Admiral at Pimlico (which was great).

Also, they didn't even mention Sugar Ray Leonard.

Not many people even know who Jack Johnson really is, let alone Joe Gans.

They even mentioned that Edgar Allan Poe played lacrosse and boxed but no mention of Ray Leonard! Poe actually played football (QB at Princeton) as well but they didn't mention that... you think they would since the Baltimore Ravens (a football team) are named after the poem The Raven... written by Poe!!!

True, but they had a big section on the Negro League teams... not many people who lived right in Baltimore even knew about them. Why not celebrate Gans a little more? He was one of the greatest boxers ever... and was born, raised, and buried in Baltimore.

Hell, they should have even mentioned Hasim Rahman in my opinion. He was a linear HW Champ.
