That was a while ago. And since then I've come to see that he is indeed the truth :think

What I've come to accept with GGG is that he's truly a special fighter. I was slow at first because I was tired of falling for the okie-doke, when it came to giving fighters premature praise. But there is no doubt in my mind that GGG is a unique and rare fighter

With that being said, GAWDDamn I can't stand Abel Sanchez. The guy just gets under my skin. The entitlement, and the ****iness. The only good thing that would come out of GGG losing (Which I hope he doesn't) is Abel Sanchez shutting the Fvck up.

I put GGG in the same category I put PBF. Obviously he's not as accomplished (yet), but I mean that as in he'd succeed under any trainer. It's not like Abel was giving a raw fighter and brought him up through the ranks. He's just one of the guys that needed an opportunity, not any lessons.

The same way PBF's mind allows him to basically self train, is the same way GGG's power, punch placement, and balance, as well as him being pretty smart, allows him to just go out and do his thing. I think he'd excel under any trainer.

With the way Sanchez talks you'd think he brought GGG from the dirt, and taught him everything he knows.

    Can't stand that MF,

Kova and GGG are the truth. They both have my support and respect.

Good to see you've come around fonz :good don't let the trainer put you off! Lots of people feel the same about angel Garcia and I feel it's a shame for Danny that people let someone else other than the fighter influence their opinion.

I like both fighters too, but I can certainly agree that Abel Sanchez talks too much. I don't know if he feels he has to try to sell GGG cos of his poor english, but TBH Golovkin knows enough - he can do his talking in the ring.

One thing I find slightly ironic is that whilst GGG has been getting the star treatment off HBO right from his US debut, Kovalev had to work his way up through small US venues and only (and at first tentatively) got HBO attention when he landed the Cleverly fight.

Now, of course, Kovalev has kinda eclispsed Golovkin, but only recieved a fraction of the promotional push - at least to start off with - I just find it kinda humourous the way it's panned out

Sanchez is proud of his fighter, feels he's the best he's ever trained, and wants him to get his opportunities against the so-called elite. Of course he's going to talk his man up.
Since when were Roach, Garcia and Mayweather Mr. Quiet impressionists?

Sanchez is starting to annoy me as well. Maybe it'll work out for GGG getting a big name, maybe it won't; but for now, it's too much.

I'm glad I waited a bit, I hate jumping on the wagon prematurely only to be proven wrong

Yeah it took a while bro. I wouldn't let it bother me. I went to GGG-Geale and I was blown away watching him up close. I had to admit to myself that he was the truth. Seeing him in person you can really appreciate his skillset.

Exactly. There's no reason for him to be running his mouth the way he does. I was suprised that Kova handled The Hop so easily. That just proves that in ring performances are more memorable than promotion pitches.

Abel has to sell Gennady. Not just because of GGG's poor english, but also because it's just not in his nature to call guys out. He's too nice.

If people were lining up to fight GGG, Abel wouldn't be talking like this. And you will find he doesn't talk like this regarding his other fighters. So I say Abel is a smart man, and just being brash to benefit his fighter. I also agree with most of what he says, he is just calling it how it is.
