So is Cotto-Clottey a unification or not?

    I keep hearing from writers and media its for both belts. i thought Clottey vacated his belt?

    Clottey had to vacate his title - it's definitely just for Cotto's belt.
    We can't have the sanctioning bodies allowing a partial unification can we?
    We had one in Bradley for about 10 seconds but they put that to an end too.

    It doesnt matter. Shane Mosley is the true champion. Cotto/Clottey are just contenders who happen to hold belts.

    Unless we are counting Clotteys ABA belt from Africia??

    No, but whoever wins it is more deserving of the title than whoever the IBF make fight for the vacant belt.

    I just read on some website that is was a unification bout also and was wondering the same thing... Not sure why some sights are still saying its a unification bout
