Considering the one man to beat him at this weight is retired, and given his wins at light heavy reguardless of how long ago, drawing with the current title holder should be enought to put him on top in the rankings and once again a "Champion" right??
I wouldn't be surprised if GBP, I mean "the Ring" magazine makes some sort of move & declares B-Hop champ...
Well technically if he is now ranked #1 by most organizations aside from the IBO and WBC, as he should be, he would have a case. His only loss was to JC in what was for "The Ring" title but none of the sanctioning bodies had a title at stake. I think with his draw last night, Hopkins may now be the recognised light heavyweight champion.
atsch Yea, since they're soooo biased for their own, they let Pacquiao advance in the welterweight ranks ahead of Floyd for winning a non welterweight/ "jr. middleweight title" fight.
Right, but Basically Pascal has the IBO title that Hopkins never lost in the ring. I wouldnt argue with it if Hopkins is the #1 ranked guy and recognised champion at light heavyweight. He reaffirmed that last night. This content is protected the titles. Hopkins proved that he is still the real champ.
Hopkins won on points?? he was ahead by two points. I don't get the ruling. Majority draw is nonsense. He won on 1 judges scorecard.
