I believe if Wilder got past Fury which if he was any good lets not beat around the bush he would have beat Fury in fight number 1, Fury wasn't 1 bit ready for a big fight, but if he did get past him it would have been back to tomato cans and Wilder would probably be 55-0 right now.

I don't remember seeing Parker rocked at all and I've watched the fight twice. Wilder connected okay on the right a couple of times and Parker moved out of range or tied him up. I don't think Parker was in any legitimate trouble.

not hurt once, Wilder was hammer fisting alot to be fair, Parker never stood at range and took a clean straight like all the bums did pre Fury.

You are right. When Wilder was in his prime, I don't think his raw power can be doubted. His overall skills is another question, but that is not what is debated here. You don't put Fury down for 9½ seconds with one punch if you don't possess elite power.

Correct. WIlder looked old and shot with his timing off. That's what happens when you are 38 years old with little activity, it's no surprice and there is no shame in that. We all get older.

Wilder is old, shot and on top level it is all over for him. Mother natures rules were in effect.

Tyson fury got dropped by Steve cunningham. He was never known for having a granite chin until wilder dropped him.

Scotts best win was against a 44 year old Tony Thompson who in spite of losing the decision, still managed to floor Scott.

Lack of ring IQ, lack of skill (his jab really isn't good) and because he's basically untrainable - he's not interested in having anyone teach him to be better, he just wants sycophants around him who tell him he's already the best he needs to be and the best around.

Nonsensical? Of course, but you can't teach stupid.

99 percent of the people you see on forums like this or Reddit aren't real boxing fans. They are people who watched a YouTube video about boxing or hear somebody on a sports show like ESPN say something and think that makes them a expert.

Wilder is pushing 40 and the only person he knocked out was Luis Ortiz. That is it. Also besides Dominic Breazeale and Robert Helinius (2 lower tier fighters) Everybody else Wilder knocked out were knocked out quicker and in some cases way quicker than Wilder did. So Wilder was only considered a huge puncher by Sports shows were the people have no ideal what they are talking about and people on forums like this who watch sports shows and YouTube videos of people saying Wilder is the hardest punching heavyweight of all time.

So of course Wilder's power was overrated.

Ruiz fought an even older, more damaged version of Ortiz, and couldn't stop him... Wilder did it twice.

Ruiz fought a significantly older, more damaged Arreola, couldn't stop him, Wilder did.

Ruiz fought SL after Wilder gave him a seizure in the ring, still couldn't stop him.

But Ruiz can maybe be the harder puncher because.... he has bigger arms?

    Nah.

Ya heres some more forum dwellers hyping up Wilders power...

“His punch power is 10 out of 10, that’s it. I don’t know how else to say it. You know when you’ve been hit by him. It’s very different to anyone else.

“He is the hardest puncher I’ve ever been in the ring with.”

“His right hand is more powerful then one could imagine,”

Wilder could knock out a bull if he hit it in the head. It’s just a matter of ‘when’ in that fight,”
“If he touches anybody with that right hand, on any part of the head, they’re going to dance or go down and go to sleep. It is what it is.

“I’ve been in there with the man who I think is the biggest puncher in boxing history in Deontay Wilder.

“His confidence in himself is his biggest strength. He has a big heart and of course a lot of punch — more than any opponent I ever met in combat or in sparring.
