If everyone who claims "duck" in every other thread were not hypocrites, then the answer would be yes.

However, it depends on their personal opinions of said fighters, as no one on this site can remain unbiased.

It could be considered a duck, yes, totally. But regarding Ward he already ducked: Bute, Stevenson, Kovalev and Froch in England. All those fights were huge and Ward bs a way out of them.

So Ward is the biggest ducker of the two by a thousand miles!

If somebody mentions you in an interview and the fight is not made right away, surely it is a duck.

It's unbelievable how on one hand people are claiming Golovkin hasn't fought anyone good yet, while on the the other hand suggesting that there aren't any serious challenges at 160 so that if he doesn't immediately move up and fight a guy much bigger than him then he's ducking.

Can the guy at least attempt to fight the top guys his own size for a year or two? Jesus.

Ward wasn't interested in Golovkin when he thought Golovkin wanted the fight. but now that Golovkin has made comments about not wanting Ward, Ward all of a sudden wants to fight him??????

remember what Ward said before he knew about Golovkin not wanting to fight him yet...

"i don't want to fight GGG, Stevenson or Kovalev. they won't push me up to be the number 1 P4P fighter in the world and allow me to take Floyd's position"

he was instead, wanting the great Chavez for himself. remember???

Ward's a ****ing punk of the highest order! he was scared about that fight and fobbed it off. but now he's acting all tough because of what GGG said.

can you all not see the pathetic ways of Ward??? he does this all the time.

he's the greatest in history for being a hypocrite and making a complete fool of himself. every interview he does it exposes him every single time. the guy's a joke.

I wouldn't equate "dcuking" with avoidance.

At this stage of his career it would be very foolish for GGG to try to appease stupid fans and take a fight with the number 2 P4P SMW in the world, Andre Ward.

Look at his resume and any idiot should be able to surmise that GGG isn't yet ready for this huge step up in caliber of opponent.
This is the kind of fight that could ruin a fighter's career, even before it got started.

I think that it's a very wise decision for GGG to avoid Ward at this point in time.

Yeah, Chavez Jr was a "young hungry lion" when Ward wanted that fight.
Junior quickly turned into a "weak link at 168" in Ward's eyes when there was talks of Chavez fighting Froch instead.

Picking Ward as his first fight at Super Middleweight would be suicide and a stupid move. He's better off racking some solid wins there before aiming for a dangerous opponent like Ward. GGG isn't doing anything many other great fighters haven't done before.
