Since this Hughie/Tyson PED thing has been public for a while now surely Parker's team would have investigated whether he was serving a ban or not. They would have asked for some evidence that he was not banned, licenced in the UK and eligible to contest WBO titles in NZ.

 

I dont think Team Parker would have had to do any research on Hughies eligibility. The WBO placed Hughie as no.1 contender. The WBO did that, not Joseph Parker. Hughies troubles shouldnt be blamed on Team Parker for not asking. The whole world knew Fury was fighting Parker, there was a world of sources that wouldve told Parker about Furys eligibility. The organisation is responsible for acting on drug cheats (e.g. Povetkin and the WBC).

The PEDs some are suspect about is a current dose. A possible dose that was taken months ago, no ones talking about PED testing issues that happened awhile back. Theyre talking about a reason for this fight not happening. Maybe Fury was doping and found out that what he thought was untraceble is now traceble and therefore quit before he arrived for in NZ for random testing.

In that case, no, I doubt it.

My theory, based on the little known facts :
1. The most likely explanation is that Peter Fury woke up one day with a great anxiety and loss of confidence in Hughie's ability to beat Parker right now.
2. Hughie's probably being told the Kiwis are out to rob him by decision, points deductions, premature stoppage. His father's protecting him from crooked injustice.
3. They agree to falsify an injury.

 

if this fight is really OFF then here's Wilder big chance to step in and it be a bigger unification fight - then he can claim a 50/50 with the winner of the Wlad vs AJ fight.

So you reckon the Furys have come down with a case of cold feet or paranoia. It's possible but very unprofessional if that is the case.

The doping does fit in as they did seem keen on the fight, even showing their enthusiasm last week but their stalling to arrive raises suspicions. Maybe they were waiting for the doping testers to give up on waiting around for them in NZ and pack up and leave, only to find out the testers weren't leaving so now they quit. Thats one idea. The other is as I mentioned before.

 

That's only possible if dw was already in fight shape and almost through a real camp. If dw has only rehabbed his hand then you're asking a champ do the single dumbest thing he could possibly do. Do you really rate dw that much better than Parker, that he could fight him coming out of surgery ???

Wilder is always in the gym...he's in shape, and his hand was fine when he used it to stop Washington!

 

I suspect that Hughie was on a course of PEDs and he was self testing positive still prior to flying to New Zealand...

He obviously couldnt fly out there on the off chance of being tested- so he had to come up with a fake injury to delay it or get it cancelled

 

In the gym vs. sparring and prepared for a fight aren't the same thing.

It will/would take some time to sort out the details, purse money, visas, etc. Far too long for him to travel halfway around the world and get acclimated to the time change and such with the fight a couple of weeks away.

It opens the door for them to negotiate to have a unification fight in June or more likely July. I hope that happens.

 

Since it came to light, neither Fury has fought. If that's the reason it would explain everything.
