It depends. If GGG decides to keep fighting that way then yes. But we've seen him box so much better and this might have just been him throwing caution to the winds to please the fans, like when he let guys hit him in the past. If he tries these tactics against someone big and good like Jacobs or Saunders, then that would be a huge mistake. From what Golovkin said in the interview after the fight, he realized early on that Brook couldn't hurt him but that he could hurt Brook and he didn't have to score points because it wasn't going the distance. Furthermore, he thought he didn't have to duck or block punches because Brook hit like a girl and Golovkin could simply walk through them. We'll have to wait and see if Golovkin isn't getting a little over confident and full of himself, or if he really can do whatever he wants and still win.
That's what happens when you start stepping up. And I expect more questions to be answered if he keeps stepping up in competition.
At best it exposed poor decision-making, streetfighting might be fun to say but it looked like **** Not a good idea to have a lot of fights like that
