I mean really. I want to get really hyped up for this fight no matter who wins. But does Shane really have a chance? Admittedly im far from a good odds maker but going into their respective fights I thought Oscar had no chance (and he fought reasonably well against floyd even earning the nod on one score card) and thought Hatton had a punchers chance and he got destroyed.Ditto back in the day, would have thought Diego had a chance (totally annhiliated) and Castillo no chance (and fought 2 close fights with Floyd). I mean we know both fighters have been pretty inactive. Mosley has fought twice in 2 years and 5 months. Mayweather has fought once in 2 years and 4 months. I would think youth would make it easier to not have ring rust with the inactivity. Plus lets be honest, since losing to Cotto in 2007 he has the KO12 over Mayorga at 2:59 in a fight Shane more than likely would have won by split decision but did not look good. And then the obvious fight in which he destroyed Margarito (but now isnt Ricardo's only claim to fame beating Cotto with plastered gloves?) So someone who's better at this than I am. Is this going to be the fight we want to see May 1st or is Mayweather going to make Shane look the fool?
Shane is no joke. Shane > Baldomir Shane > Hatton Shane > marquez Shane > Judah Shane beat oscar twice. This is legit.
Margarito did not train for the fight with Mosley, so that win is not as good as it looked. However, Mosely can beat Void.
he beat the living **** out of 1 of the most feared welters in years....while floyd couldnt hurt a featherweight over 12 rounds. its antonio margarito, not ricardo dumbass.....and how the **** do you know his gloves were plastered. go kill yourself asap.
take that means you think Shane takes the fight. or you're a complete psycho. i know what you're thinking........"cant it be both?".dude get a life.
For a while I thought this was going to be another Floyd shutout, but I'm not so sure anymore. Shane is a lot better then any of Floyd's previous opposition. My gut tells me he's too old and past his best right now to beat Floyd, but he might surprise us.
If you think May 1st is hype then you forgot who Mosley even is. He's better than any opponent Floyd has beaten at 147 and more convincingly beat a more prime version of Oscar who Floyd did not have the easiest time with. Shane's losses came against guys who either were physically big enough to neutralize him(add to that they were guys who up and comers weren't rushing to fight) as well as the firepower to keep him honest. Mosley never went out with a whimper in any of his fights and was very hard to stop(if he went the full 12 with Vernon after that disastrous 3rd round KD then I don't see anyone at 147 stopping him unless they TOTALLY DOMINATE him) This fight will at some point become a thrilling dog fight because Mosley's temperment as a fighter will bring that about should he smell blood or feels the fight is slipping away from him.
