The problem with guys like Solis is that he is being paid good money just for being a contender. He like Povetkin realizes that on the first loss the checks will stop coming and with that no more big cars, hookers and VIP tables at the clubs in Miami. If these wanna-be contenders would have half their income locked in a trust/bank account in their own name which only becomes accessible once they face a belt holder you would see tons of good matchups instantly.
I hope they do I'd like to see what kind of shape Solis is in and if he finally has a seriousness to go with arguably the most talent in the heavyweight division. http://boxing.fanhouse.com/2010/03/...-carl-davis-drummond-with-eye-toward-the-kli/ Here's an article on the who Vitali vs. Solis negotiations that took place it. Not so sure where the K2 fans get that he refused to fight Vitali it was more of the dates weren't right for HBO the first time and Arum had another card the second time.
