I mean since Pac got KO'd and lost on points to Bradley (even tho that was a controversial decision)...where does that leave Pac v Mayweather? Has demand for it gone now..or somehow is it still gonna happen anyway? Whaddya think?

    Demand is kinda still there...
Only way it happens now tho would be if Mayweather catches an "L" in 2013.

Of course there is still chance. Pac lost to Bradley and got ko'd in his next fight. It fits right there with Floyd's m.o. of fighting guys who have slipped so far that he no longer worries about losing his "0".

if we forget all the politics that means this fight would never happen no matter what (GBP VS TR bull****)

Manny needs to rematch Bradley and get a good win then maybe look at fighting floyd in early 2014....but do us fans really want to see that? it wouldnt even come close to what a fight between these 2 would have been in 2009/2010 so whats the point? if it never happens now i dont give a **** where as few years ago I was dying for this fight to happen it would have been amazing

dont really think it proves anything anymore, neither one is prime. now it would just show who has slipped the most.

No. Mayweather won't take a chance losing to a guy coming off two losses. Period.

Doesn't have the same meaning as it once did. It was the ultimate boxer v puncher showdown. Now, there are some serious doubts as Pac got KTFO by a FORTY year old slow boxer. There is still demand for it, but it will be like watching Holyfield v Tyson when Tyson was clearly past his prime.

    Probably not.
Its not the biggest fight on the planet.
    Pac's damaged goods.
    But people are greedy.
I am sure that the promoters will really try hard to market it.
And they are pretty good in making people believe that dog**** is icecream.
    Pac is dog****.

:rasta Hey, as long as you still got a more than legion of fans out there and mainly Pac fans of course who still think that Pac can still beat Floyd and that Floyd's still scared of facing Pac the possibility and demand for it happening is still there, at least if Pac doesn't suffer another dramatic knockout loss and Floyd keeps on winning.

This particular scenario kind of reminds me of the mid 70"s when Muhammad Ali was the reigning two-time World Heavyweight Champion following his huge earth shaking upset ko victory over the young, undefeated and industructable George Forman in 1974, Zaire, Africa. After winning back the title and bringing it home there was a legion of fight fans at the time who still thought that Joe Frazier was still the bettet fighter between them, Ali-Frazier, and still thought that he could beat him even though Frazier had lost his title and unbeaten record to the same George Forman a year earlier by devastating ko and had lost to Ali by decision in their 2nd fight, and was almost stopped early by Ali in that one too. But the people had to see the third fight between those two combatants known as "Thriller in Manilla" so in October, 1975 it happened and it provided unexpected great theatrefor the fans and public alike with Ali coming out on top, via 14th round tko.

My guess is as far as Mayweather-Pacquiao goes that fight will happen in either May or June 2014, after Pac possibly gets his revenge against Marquez in September 2013 and Mayweather takes care of business on his end by fighting and beating Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero in May 2013 and then "Saul" Canelo Alvarez in September 2013 in which afterwards the stage will finally be set for that fight to happen. Also keep in mind Pac is still under contract with promoter Bob Arum until 2014 so that's also the main reason why we won't see that fight come off until then if you catch my drift!

    It never needed to happen.

It was never going to be particularly competitive. Everybody got a little too hopped up, that's all.
