Khans getting impatient waiting for what should be a simple decision to do the rematch and says he'll look eleswhere in the next few days if no response from Lamonts camp. Tis indicating that Petersons looking for a payday or two before he gives his belts back to Khan..indicating he's doubtful he can do it again. :yep

Peterson is very happy with his hometown decision. With Michael Hunter and Hatman in his corner he is gonna go strength to strength. Joe Cooper should ref all his fights from now on and he should fight only in DC.

Fact is he got a SD in his own hometown... fight could have went either way. Khan dissapointed many with his below average performance. He seemed to forget evrything Freddie taught him in tht ring.

Well although I believe Khan deserved at least a draw when you add in the point deductions and I would like to see a rematch on neutral territory Khan has been known to lowball his opponents money wise and Peterson has much more to gain from fighting Juan Manuel Marquez (despite Marquez is obviously going to beat him) Financially

Say he takes the Marquez fight, he loses and he then has the Khan rematch to fall back on

Now if Bradley does fight Pacquiao he is going to lose so there may be another rematch waiting for him

If he fights khan (and loses) he is left fighting up and comers and people on the slide

Also he is still in the running for a big fight with Pacquaio

Smart money says he avoids Khan til he needs another pay day

If you were Peterson would you give Khan an instant rematch??

I wouldnt. Its not a wise business move as he has just opened up the door to a wide range of other fights.

In the same way that Khan has prescot always chasing him Peterson (belts or not) will always be chased by Khan. IMO its just not wise to take an instant rematch, although down the line yes. That fight will always be there to take when it suits Peterson, Not when it suits Khan.

You have to put yourself in Petersons shoes, and not look at iy from a boxing fans perspective.

Great fight to be made? Yes.
    Wise move for Peterson? NO

He's hardly ducking Khan when hes talking of fighting Marquez who is a far superior fighter than Khan.

With all the **** Khans talked about the fight it means even if Lamount wins a rematch the judges will give Khan the decision. **** Khan.

I think Khan should just move on, if he does well at Welterweight and beats the top guys then no-one will care about the Peterson defeat anymore. I don't think Khan will beat top guys at Welterweight but its worth a go, it's certainly better than wasting time and chasing Peterson.

Damn....this would make an excellent PPV undercard for the FMJ vs Cotto. Throw in Canelo vs Kirkland....EASY $1.5 Mil.

he's waiting to see if pac will fight him which will be more money

if not he'll fight khan unless arum organises his proposed 4 way tournament

khan aint helped himself by trying to win the belt back in court crying on tv every 2 minute about men in hats and generally conducting himself like he's the champion. Team Khan need to shut up sit back and accept that they aint running **** no more instead of setting all the fake deadline dates shut up wait for lamont to make his decision.
