I think it'll happen next. Haye took a calculated gamble I think by pulling out of the first fight and snagging himself a belt. That move, which most of us called hima ***** for, might have literally made him an extra 10 or so million dollars.

I think he'll take it, this was all about getting a title so it was a unification and the public wanted to see it even more, i actually wouldn't be surprised if this whole thing was cooked up between Wlad and Hayes camps just to make the fight massive and more money for both.

Wlad seems to really want the fight, so it seems like it's up to Haye. I've never heard Wlad trash talk before , using words like "*****" and "dude" (which makes him sound like a Baltic Sea ghetto surfer dude ), so Dave must have really pissed him off.
I hope they do fight, it'll be the first interesting heavyweight fight for a long while.

I can't see it happening for at least another 3-4 fights. Haye doesn't want it before then - if ever.

The only way it would happen earlier is if either Klit showed signs of weakness or vulnerability in a fight.

I don't think it happens anytime soon - if ever. I would guess Haye will rematch Valuev again this year and then probably take another long break. He seems quite happy with the current situation of just spending his time in the WBA circle jerk.

The dangers is that both of them - Haye and Wlad - can always lose against some random underdog. Who guarantees Valuev won't win some scam decision over Haye? Povetkin always has an underdog chance against Wlad. We boxing fans always naively think "Oh if it doesn't come now then it will certainly come later". Heck I thought that about Lewis - Bowe all throughout the early 90s and it somehow never happened.

Haye has the chance to make the fight happen right now. If he doesn't realize this may be a historic chance that may never come again then him (and us boxing fans) may be utterly disappointed.

Madballster really knows nothing about Boxing. Haye wants to make as much money as he can and then get out. Which fight makes him the most money by a LONG way? He wants the Wlad fight, its the main reason why he moved up to heavyweight. Being WBA champ means sweet FA to him. Its just used as a bargaining chip to get more money. The fight WILL happen. Haye is a businessman first, boxer 2nd. I think he will take a easy fight next with upside, let Wlad fight Povektin as he is the mandatory and the fight will take place around this time next year.

Haye wants 3 or 4 more fights before retiring.

When he fights Wlad he will be ruined. So it will be the last fight he will take - if at all.

Sure he is a businessman. Part of business is risk analysis and goal setting. He wants to get out of boxing, rich and with his health intact.

Fighting Wlad next will hurt his earnings and potentially destroy his health. Fighting Wlad last will get him the most money, but will he risk his health? So, he will probably take the fight - if at all - in around 3 or 4 fights time.

rushman nailed it. Haye appears to go for low risk fights because UK PPV enables him to make excellent money fighting B level competition.

Why ponder fighting Wlad and risk losing everything when he can simply rematch Valuev and still make millions by selling the fight to the loyal British pay-per-view audience?

Haye will fight Wlad once the Brits start boycotting his pay-per-views. Then he will be forced to take more dangerous fights.

Haye wont make it past 4 or 5, if he runs he might make it to the 9th or 10th.

17 people bought Haye-Ruiz, I think Haye broke the 20 barrier against Valuev.

Nah he wants Wlad doesn`t he.If he gets the fight in Britain, which i hope he doesn`t because he`ll rabbit punch his way to a points win if he doesn`t get sparked.Wlad would probably spark anyway to be honest.I used to like Haye, but now he`s a gobshite and they way he fought Ruiz he deserved more than a point off although Ruiz was bitching a bit.
